God gave the greatest gift to all mankind when He gave us Jesus Christ. And He also gave us free will to choose our belief system. That is why people choose to believe or not to believe. I do not mock you if you do not believe. Nor do I bring up the atrocities in other nations to "blame" God. It's interesting how people will use their free will to choose not to believe in God, but BLAME him for every bad thing that happens in this earth. I've heard so often "A loving God wouldn't allow ...." fill in the blank. God doesn't do those things. MAN does. I know this for sure: As frought with inperfection and shortcomings Christians are, there are a myriad of us who are kind, compassionate, and concerned about the world around us. And not just in the sense of "Repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand". God uses people on this earth to do His will. So, prayerfully, there were human vessels available in Darfur and Iraq to give gifts to those children.

And what did YOU give the kids in both, Darfur and Iraq? Since you don't believe in God, then, it is up to you to do the gift giving.

All the gifts that were meant to be distributed were given away. "God's" gifts, if you will, were given to all of us long ago.Today, children in many parts of the world, including darfur and Iraq, are given by humans, who are not so human, bullets, ignorance, prostitution, drugs, deseases and life without hope. All adults should be ashamed of themselves for not helping enough to insure that every child is given a chance to enjoy childhood and and receive a good preparation for a full fledged participation in the great challenge of human survival.

God created 6 billion intelligent people to look after each other, why should He bothers to wait for your remind. You think that the Omniscient Creator would give them toys, while other human beings are killing their fathers and mothers!
See how we stupidly kill each other, rob from each other, waste so many things in our stores, using the most advanced instruments like the Internet for spreading hatred, denying our own high destiny and even denying our Supreme and All-loving Father!
Why don't we stop for a second and ask ourselves: as intelligent beings, what are we doing for our neighbours as God has taught from eternity to eternity. Before blaming God or blaming humanity, why I don't blame myself for wasting so much money in the inhuman entertainment last night! Am I deserved the name of man?

God is not to blame for Darfur and Iraq.

corrupt and spiteful leaders are at fault for those tragedies.

I never hear people blame God for the holocaust. Why is that?

They can understand that Hitler was evil; but can't understand the leaders today are evil. shrugs.

Yes, they received (not from him) the eye-opening chance to give a second thought to whether the God being urged by the religions to the north (Islam) and south (Christianity) of them really is as advertised, and to adopt beliefs that correspond to the world as it really is -- too bad they're as unlikely to avail themselves of the chance as comfortably ensconced Americans are. People believe what they are motivated to believe is so, not what really is so.

God gave the most perfect gift to all of creation, and continues to offer it today and everyday.

He paid the debt that we owed to him. It is sitting there waiting for us to accept it and open it, and then use it.

It is not wrapped in pretty paper and sitting under a tree. It is contained within the missionaries that he sends to us all.

It contains the key to eternal love and comfort, not always the here and now.

since there's no proof that god is good, he or she might have given them all of the suffering they currently experience. Or maybe there is nobody to give anything to them in the first place. Your question is beautiful in that it opens the mind and makes one wonder about "Is it real, or is it Memorex?"
