I know you said no baby stuff but I swear by this cd. It's called baby genius lullaby dreams and it is all classical and very soothing. The little girl I watch is the same age range and won't go to sleep without it. It even puts me to sleep! I made myself a copy and use it when I am really stressed or traveling and can't sleep. It works great. Email me if you want. I can send you a copy if you would like.

That one is good but I would try a mix of the different Scootish, Irish and Cetic music out there. Most of it is just music and no words. It's very soothing.
Word of caution though. If she listens too it all the time then when you go someplace she might have a hard time sleeping without it. Kind of like not haveing a favorite blanket.

I grew up listening to my dad play piano, and it always helped me sleep, so personally for me, piano music is the most relaxing. My personal favorite is Debussy's Claire DeLune. I work at an elementary school, and during nap time in the kindergarten room, I always hear piano music playing. Some Billy Joel songs can be pretty relaxing as well.

Anything classical would work. My daughter loves my dad's classical music CDs when I'm trying to get her to take a nap on a long car trip.

Theres a CD called golden slumber with different artist and very nice music, You'll Be In My Heart, All the Pretty Horses, Afro Cuban Lullaby, You can close your eyes. Kenny Loggins did one too thats called Pooh's Corner. I wouldn't really call this baby stuff.....................alot of adults enjoy it too.

Make it a project for the two of you.Search through songs and ask her what she likes. In between the songs record your voice telling favorite bed time stories or telling her how much you love her...have other relatives in the family on there telling their favorite stories too.
