i have naturally dirty blonde hair and usually get it cut in long layers.. i have seen where girls have gotten the layers underneath dyed dark brown and i thought it looked realy cool and i have been thinking about getting it done.. but i don't know what is the best way to get my hair cut to do this.. if you have any opinions please let me know and if you think it's a bad idea i want to know that too. i just don't want to screw up my hair. thanks.

I would recommend you get it professionally done. Long layers will work for the most part but you will need some layers shorter near yoru ears and chin. If you can have some help on seperating these layers (the longer underneath layers, put the rest in a clip) die it dark one day and then the next (you will probably need some help for this!) Dye the upper part ( keep the bottum layers in a pony tail and cover it with a plastic bag or something of the sort). Hope this sort of helps, but I would really recommend you get this done by a professional! May be a bit pricey, but do you want to end up looking like a dirty mop head?! Hehe

i am currently attending hair school and yes that style is totally in right now................. since your hair is already layered all you need is colos my opinion is you should go to a hair school near you and get it done because while you think theyre just a school they are acually working for a grade so they will do the best they can

I dyed my hair dark brown underneath myself and it cameout really well and I absolutley love. It is a good look too!

i think it siounds really cool, especially with long layers it will stick out of the bottom, and wont show the roots when it starts to grow out! lol

sounds good the only thing i can tell ya is never dye your hair an ash color it will turn it gray even if it does not look this way on the box good luck
