This is the TEN COMMANDMENTS. Ther were given to MOSES not to Christians. We are to follow the Commands given in the New TEstament. The Old Law was nailed to the cross at Calvary. By the way, To become a real Chrtistian…
We are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great week.

We are not saved by the Law though, upholding the Law will not do anything to grant us into heaven. If we could be saved by the law (i.e. saved by being a good person) then Christ wouldn't be needed at all. The punishments the Old Testament provided, were to supervise the Jews until faith in Christ could come. Now that Christ has offered us atonement through what he did on the cross, we are saved only by grace - a gift from God that is undeserved, meaning before God, Hitler, Buddha and Martin Luther King Jr. have an equal chance to receive the same grace God offered. Through the Holy Spirit, we will naturally fulfill God's laws, meaning that we will not base our life by the Law, but by the Spirit, but through the Spirit we will keep God's Laws (though the punishments provided in the laws are irrelevant now, because we find atonement in Christ, not in cutting off hands, sacrificing animals, washing hands, etc).

That is Old Testament law. Christians are no longer under the law but are under grace. Which means that all we need to do is except Jesus Christ as our personal savior and we are SAVED. We do not go to Heaven or Hell dependent on how well we obeyed the Ten Commandments. The Bible also says that if we've broken one of the ten commandments we've broken them all. If we could work our way into Heaven then there would have been no need for Jesus to die on the Cross. His death covered all of our sins. And sins include more then just braking the 10 commandments. There are over 300 times in the Bible where God or Jesus tells us not to do certain things or to do certain things. Breaking these rules is also sin. But we no longer obey to get to Heaven. Now we obey because we are saved and we know we are going to Heaven.

Besides the Ten Commandments, other Prophets of the One True God after Moses had revealed several other divine laws in their Holy Books. In the time of Moses, one Book seems too much, but today man can study thousands of Books. If followers of each religion keep on restricting themselves on learning from only One Book, they will fall aback while mankind are moving speedily forward. Yes, we are living in the Informatic Age with millions of books sent to our personal computers.

Yes, I did know the 10 commandments. As if I cared to live my life according to a book that's 2000+ years old, no, not in the slightest.

Hey, I was just about to tell you of my discovery about God's Law and then Wham! You hit me that list that is hanging on My Grandmother's wall.
Well anyway here at the Zoo where I live, we discovered that God's law is easier to remember if we sing a little song about it.
"Harmony is harmony.
Disharmony is the most common sin against God.
Yuck! ..... Not Spinach again !
(What did you expect? "The Sermon on the Mount"?)

If you are going to stand before him then maybe you should follow the commandment he left for us.
