It's a process over time, it's not going to happen overnight. But there are steps to take. First pray and ask the Father into your heart (mind) and life. Ask for change of you. Ask for guidance and direction. Ask for forgiveness of your sins. Do all this in Jesus name (authority).
Come to the reality that as long as you dwell in the flesh body you are going to fall short. All are sinners. Repentance is a change of mind not a license to sin. Perfection is maturity or full age in His Word. We are to produce fruit and glorify Christ.
His Word is an life learning process. Trust this man or no man unless you check it out in His Word. I've been at it earnestly for 16 years. I'm producing fruit but feel I'm still in the process. Don’t clean house (clean up your act) without filling that void with the Word of God.
Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
By the way, born again means born from above, check it out.

Pray and ask God, trusting his sincere answer within and or guidance to the right people and Church.
Find and know God within is always best, like a personal friend, one that would never let you down, he's waiting for you to ask and trust in him, just talk to him, prayers are the strongest thing on earth, it's power is unlimited since it's through Jesus-God's unlimited powers.
I ask him about Religions and churches, you don't need to be in a religion if you can connect personally with God. God say to me, to go to all the Churches, that he is three, and that I'll learn more about others perspectives and they learn more from mine.
I was raise Catholic, and do consider myself a Christian. Although I ascertain that I need not a Religion, God-Jesus is my Religion. I do go to different Churches, where God leads me. I may join one if I like it a lot. I work at a hospital, I try to go to the chapel at least once a day, on my break. It's good to spend some alone time with God, he likes that too.

Welcome to the Family :)
the best advice i can give is this pray every day really talk to God in good times and bad He loves you and loves to hear from you He will always be there for you :)..
Try to Read your Bible more then once a week (this is the hard part ...finding time) psalms is a good book for every day reading because the chapters are not long psalms 23 and 27:1-3 are cool :)
The last advice i can give you is that there are people who hate people like us and they will make fun, mock and just rude to you all because you love Jesus,do not pay those people any mind just pray for them (thats what Jesus would do)
They love to fight over little things so do not even fight with them just ignore them *HUGS*
May God bless you and your family, you guys will be in my prayers

The best advice I can give you is this...Don't be overly concerned over which "church" or building you go to. Your "church" is within you in your relationship to God. If you establish a real relationship with God he will point you in the direction that is best for you. Most new Christians get overwhelmed with the "feeling" that comes with Christianity, however a relationship with God is not just a feeling, but a life long, life changing course. The only way to be strong is to have a strong relationship with God first. The church, people and building you belong to does not matter, as long as the belief is the same. You have your temple inside of you with your personal relationship with God. Going to church just strengthens that relationship and helps you grow stronger.

Read and study the Bible always so you won't be led astray by false teachers pretending to be true Christians.
The Christian life is hard, and don't believe for a second that the moment you accept it, your life will magically become easier and turn into a bed of roses. On the contrary, Christ tells us that the road that leads to salvation is a narrow road, and few people choose it (Matthew 7:13–14). You will face persecutions and sufferings...that's a guarantee. But at the end, it will be worth it. Be prayerful and vigilant, and stand firm in your faith. Find a true Church that sticks to Bible truths to encourage you and help you grow...and welcome to the family! God bless you. =)

Study the Bible more than anything else. Study to understand God and to let Him speak to you through it. It is His love letter to you. And study it to compare what people say about God with what he says to you about Himself. If anything someone tells you differs with His Bible, always go with the Bible, never with the human. Find the chuch that is the closest to the Bible as you read it, then stick with them until they differ significantly with what you read the Bible saying. A minor difference is not worthy of you resumimg your search. And, no chuch will teach exactly what the Bible speaks to your heart. But many will come close.
Attend one of them. Fellowship (hang around) with your fellow believers.
Speak of your faith with others. Speak with others who believe. Speak with others who do not believe, especially with those who seem to be seeking God like you were.
Pray every day. All day long. Not just in a certain devotion or quiet time, but under your breath all day, asking the Lord to help you deal with your problems, temptations, challenges, etc. Ask Him to forgive you when you mess up. He will forgive you, and pick you up and dust you off, and get you back on your way walking with Him.
I am praying for you right now. May Jesus bless and keep you on your new journey with Him.

First and foremost, stay open-minded and humble. Next, realize the Christian life should be a journey. Too many get complacent or closed-minded and don't continue in the growing process (journey). Don't just read the Bible, either. Combine your Bible study with scholarly books that approach the Bible from various points of view. Too often we tend to only read the books by authors whom we already agree with and not the ones who make us think outside the proverbial book. Remember, they wouldn't listen to the Teacher (Jesus) because he thought outside their religious box. Surround yourself with non-judgmental people that offer you affirmation but also make you accountable. Lastly, do not confine or limit yourself to the studies offered solely by your church (sermons, Sunday school, Bible studies, etc.). After you have grown in your Christian faith, be willing to study other faiths to find what we have in common and where we differ. God's Holy Spirit guides our journey when we have the heart to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Press forward in your journey!

Don't feel down or out for failures you will encounter. Just remember as a new christian you are a babe in Christ, and will go through spiritual growth. 1 John 2:13; I write unto you, "fathers" because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, "young men" because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, "little children" because ye have known the Father.
The Spiritual growth is - Babe, to Adolescent, to Adult.
Pray that the Lord leads you to a Bible Believing and Bible Teaching Church. Where his Word is taught and lived, if you're not in one already.
And Welcome to the Body Of Christ, and the Family of the One True and Living God. He who was, is and is to come- The Almighty.

My advise to you is to stick as close as white on rice to Jesus, Pray as much as you can and get into a smaller church. The mega Church's are fine but only for those who do not need their hands held(metaphorically).
Jesus is the same where ever you feel comfortable. He will draw you to where he wants you to be.
He is a good God, and wants the best for you.
Read your bible and pray, and corporately worship is all I can encourage you in.
I have just come back from a missions trip to Philippines and it built my faith enormously
Avoid Mormons, and Jehovah witnesses, and seventh day Adventists

First of all lead them to salvation. Their never is the right advice but by the fruits at which you bare! Testimony about your life and how you got saved (you know what i mean when I say saved right?)
Remember live the talk you speak about and let it be a light to the new commer, to get all advanced also, stick to the basics on why you worship god! One thing thats most important dont be a fake, because it will give you a good pic of yourself but in the long run you will notice things to come out of the closset, and Remember these key words:
Forgiveness, Aknowledge, Repent, & Friendship: )
so good luck and let gods grace be your witness
