I have a Sony Trinitron and the power "red" light is on but when I press the power button it just makes a "clink" sound and its still off...

Oh and also whats with the AUX it happens once and awhile too

Seems like your T.V. is broken, it can be a false contact inside of the board of it, try hitting with your hand open to see if comes on, if it doesn't work at all, you might need to take it to the technician, anyway if circuit board is broken you will need to take to be fixed anyway.

My Zenith was doing the same thing to me one time. I thought I was gonna have to buy a new one, but I took it into a TV repair place and it only cost me $130.00 to fix it. I can't remember what exactly was wrong, but It's good as new now.
