comment was from mae west, she didnt have a 'higher meaning' thats it - it was more of a 'quip'

It is a quote from Mae West. It goes.
"It's not the men in my life that counts, it's the life in my men."
Mae quotations were usually meant to sound a bit risque..she intended to send a sense of sexual freedom. As in the one.
"When I'm bad, I'm great. When I'm really bad, I am excellent."

Mae West is correct.

I'm not sure Ms. West HAD a higher meaning ; the comments she became known for ranged from the saucy to the ribald.
