Yes and no. While the football teams are from Glasgow(Scotland) themselves, the Celtic supporters and the Rangers supporters live all over the world. One difference between the two in Scotland was that the Celtic fans were Catholic, while the Rangers fans were Protestant. I am not sure what the situation is like today, but surely there is still some rivalry that exists in some punters minds.

rangers fans, are predominantly protestant, while celtic fans are predominantly catholic. its probably the biggest sectarian divide within football. both teams come from glasgow, but have massive support within the divided territories of ireland. it has always been, and for the foreseeable future, been a big issue with regards to the religion of fans. celtic fans use the irish tricolour as a banner of support at games, while the rangers fans use the union jack. partly due to the colours, partly due to the religious connotations. the teams are often referred to as the popes eleven and the queens eleven. again referring to the religious side of things.
personally i think its all rubbish, and is a blight on scottish football. but certain elements of both supports refuse to let it go and do nothing to improve the image of our beautiful game. especially when the standard of our game is improving.

Both teams are from glasgow, yes. What's your question again? What's the difference between a celtic supporter and a rangers supporter?
One supports celtic and the other supports rangers, oddly enough.
Cue sectarian buffoonery...

hi there i will try and answer this, first off its a religious thing thats been going on for years, celtic was for the roman catholics to support and rangers prodesant.
Its really bad over in nothern ireland where theres fights and people getting stabbed because they are wearing ie celtic top and the peeps that are there are rangers supporters..and vice versa, king billy who was the leader or something like that, for the prodesants hated catholic, so i think it escalated from there.
But now u have catholics supporting rangers and vice versa, hope this helps u, im just going on what i know.
