It has been said that if you truly are sorry for what you did and you ask forgiveness then God will forgive you. Technically you could wait all the way to your death bed to repent right? So I ask you if I do the following...

Sleep with my sister
Eat the neighbors cat
Kill my friends grandmother in cold blood
Rape a child
Spread STD's to under privileged families

...but afterwards I realize the error of my ways... Can I just ask for forgiveness and still go to heaven? Lets say I do get into heaven, is the 70 year old lady sitting next to me who went to church 3 times a week, is her soul worth more than mine at that point or any other point prior? As a good faithed Christian lets say I am your neighbor and so is the 70 year old lady, who would you have babysit your children for you when you are gone, if you say the Grandma, I say why not me? If anyone can do whatever the hell they want and just say sorry afterwards then why should anyone try to be good or restrain their desires?

Despite raping my sister and sleeping with a child, lets say I really really am sorry when I repent, I mean, what was I thinking. Lets not get into the symatecs of who is more sorry and only the persons most sorry can get into heaven. For the sake of conversation lets atleast pretend as if the context of this question was one posed by someone who truly was sorry they sinned.

MacAulay believe in god but row away from the rocks And to the others, lets say I was really sorry right afterwards, it was real sorrow because I cried right after I raped my sister... Now do I have to worry about if I die before I feel sorrow. If Jesus were to save me from burning in fiery brimstone or living in Lebanon then in fact I really would be grateful. 5 minutes of repent in an illusion of epiphany and everything is okay no matter what you do, I am starting to like the way you Christians think, it reminds me of Mardi Gras right before Lint. And there you were spending all your life in restraint while I take the world and reap the rewards, I get to have my cake and eat it too. Dont these words at least make you want me to burn in hell? Dont you think someone who really thinks like this should burn in ""hell?

Here are some more realistic questions on the same subject. A Nazi kills an innocent Jew during WWII. After the war, the Nazi becomes a devout Christian. Who is in heaven, The Nazi, the Jew, none, or both?
Johan Salk, a Jew, saved maybe a million lives with his discovery of the polio vaccine. Is he in heaven even though he is a Jew?

Um.....are you 3 ? I hope not.

Ok I'm guessing you no right from wrong. As human beings sometimes we don't always notice that what we do is wrong.

So GOD has Mercy, Grace, Forgiveness, and Understaning to pardon you.

However you have to ask in truth. And you make it sound like you can trick GOD into thinking you're sorry. Don't count on it, HE will know if you're being honest.

Every soul is important to GOD. HE did give you life after all. JESUS said HE didn't come for the saved but or the lost. GOD doesn't want you to suffer.

Here's the deal..... All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. And those will become of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter heaven........ it is not sin that keeps any one out of Heaven... and it is not good works that gets any one into heaven...... those who enter Heaven wil receive rewards based upon the good in their mortal life...But.... if, today, you do something good and sayI am doing this to get a reward in Heaven... you willnot get a reward for that act... it is the goodness of you life as is found in your heart... you can not fake it... God knows...

No one knows what will go on in Heaven... it is generaly thought among Christians that some will have higher standing than others.. and that some who seem to sure to be high in Heaven will actualy be the lowest and some who seeem not to be very good bets for high positions will be the highest... we<,those who are going to Heaven, will just have to wait and see.

For those who do not accept God and do not come to him... they are not bound by God's law here on earth and can dowhatever they can getaway with under man's law.... untill the end of their mortal existane that is... then they will be rejected by God and be eternalyu seperated from him...and that is not going to be a plesent sentance.

You could do all of that but how do you know you are going to ask for forgiveness before you die? What if you die in a car accident? If you are commiting those horrendeous things knowing that you are wrong and later in life you will repent, most likely is that you will never have the option to repent. Because God knows your heart, I would say this only applies for people that don't know God but after you know him then you condemn yourself.

This was my reasoning when I used to be a Xian. I was a drunk, I was a jerk, I cheated on my then-wife, I stole, I got 3 DUIs by the time I was 28, I'd served time in jail twice, I did all sorts of wrongs, but I figured that God would forgive me so it would all work out in the end. It wasn't until after I rejected Xianity and the existence of God that I straightened up, because I realized that we only get one chance at life and I was wasting mine.

Sounds like you are looking for an excuse to get away with murder - and then rattle off an insincere "sorry".
If you love me, you will keep my commands - Jesus says.
Not to be saved, but its all about having a relationship with Him.
An analogy might be similar to getting married, but then cheating on your wife - thinking that she will always be there to forgive you - one would have to wonder about your intentions toward her in the first place.

If you realize the error of your ways before you sin - that is a gift from God - because He gave you the knowlege of wrong -
and you still chose to sin. That makes a mockery of His grace and forgiveness - and if you continue on in sin thinking you will get a "get out of jail free card" - you might not. God says in His word that he will eventually "give people over" to their sin if that's what they prefer..read below

salvation is not just a matter of forgiveness.
it also involves repentence and a commitment to accept Jesus Christ as your own PERSONAL savior.
You can not do whatever you want and "use" God as a way out of eternal damnation.
He will not honor that.
If you plan on waiting 'till just before it is too late, you may wait one second too long...for you have no way of knowing when you will die or how fast.
Your day could be tonight or tomorrow?
No, scheming will never get you to Heaven.
Only Jesus will do that for you.

Ahhh, the "last-minute reprieve". That's what I'm holding out for. But what would happen should I wait too long and be accidentally killed before I get saved?
It seems that being prepared by living a moral and ethical life would be the best guarantee just in case, even if you are a pagan, you know, karma and all.....

Yes it is possible for you to go to heaven. You have to know you are a sinner, repent of your sins, believe Jesus was the son of God and died for your sins and accept him as your Savior. I have known people that have done worse than you mentioned and gotten saved before they died.

Anything you do is between you and God, no one can decide your fate but God, Judgment is ultimately up to God, no one else. It would be wrong for me to tell you if you would go to Heaven or Hell or tell you if God will forgive your sins and accept your good deeds. God is All- Knowing and All-Seeing.
