Wars stimulate the economy people like George Bush and Donald Rumsfeld liked the idea of war it gives there bussinesses a chance to make money. Simply put any war is fought over money tell me one that isn't what do you stand to gain from beating up Iraq but more money during the Revolutionary war what did the British fear losing Money from the America's, the Civil war what did the North stand to loose by letting the South form independant Nations the Regulation and Control of a common Money which meant all the Fat Cats in the North could no longer compete with Europe. WWII had many motives but think about it we wanted to stay out of war because we had just as mush to gain from the Lend Lease Policies. But lest we forget that war does drive the economies look at Europe they still pay us money because of the Marshall Plan, Korea they Fund us for military protection and look at the North compared to the South, The US occupation of japan, during all this occupation we were stealing money and riches and bringing them back to the US. As I said before it stimulates the economy look at what came out of war and fear during WWII and the Cold War Era, Nuclear Power, Space Travel, and lest we forget the Internet was one of the greatest inventions of that Era which we all take for granted.

I'm generally devided on the issues of today, yea I think we went to Afghanistan for proper reason but I'm not so sure about the whole Iraq thing.

Look at who has the most to gain with a war. Germany wanted to take over the world. Rome literally took over the world. Alexander did the same. Who has the most to gain? Revolution has a way of putting things back in balance, for a while.

If you are speaking of strictly HUGE wars it is usually the crazies. Of course the Civil War was a biggy for the US, but not huge. I don't consider the war in Iraq a huge war although I see those who don't seem to know any better lump that in with HUGE. How crazy!

By country I would have to say its Germany and Britain.Britain caused lots of wars as well before the 1900,s.50 different nations got independence from Britain.By religious type I would say that the Abrahamic faiths have caused the most violance in history.Abrahamic faiths include Christianity,Judism and Islam.Since Germany was a Christian nation then I think based on religion Christianity holds the record simply because of WW1 and WW2.But in the case that WW3 is started by Iran then Islam will hold the record.

Those who have the most to gain economically. War isn't about patriotism, or national security as hyped, it is all about the almighty buck.
