Humans are born believing in nothing. No one can talk of belief with any certainty at birth. Adults and not so adult keep feeding babies all kinds of concepts, ideas, truths, lies, suggestions, attitudes, values, and all kinds of skills related to his or her survival. Among things that one then learns is the idea of god. Mind you, at a certain age God is really real for a young mind. God may be like his grand pa or an uncle or a certain man that he or she is fascinated by either concretely, like seeing a certain person or through the stories related to him or her by his or her peers or adults. You yourself, even being convinced that you were born with the idea of God is nothing but what you were fed as child. You cannot prove you are born with anything except sucking a nipple or or crying from hunger pain or sheer pain. How about this as an answer. You may be making an allusion to Hay Ibn Yaqdhan of Ibn Tufayl to justify your birth believing in God.
Have you considered cultures and societies where the idea of God does not exist? You must be totally irrational to know the answer to your question.

No and neither are they born believing there is no God or agnostic, or any other set belief. Parents usually pass on to them what they feel is right. Many change after they reach adulthood and believe differently. At different ages they are exposed to many different viewpoints. The schools get them sometimes as young as 4 years old. So like all adults they end up having to decide a lot of things for themselves.

Every human being has an iborn sense of God... But as for "belief"...well... man has been so far corrupted that the distorted sense most have is not what God will accept. it requires a strong concious effort to come to God in TheWay He prescribes... it can be a very painfull experience...that is why so many fail to make it... even though they know they should and that there is "something" to the God Stuff... they just can not overcome the corruption(sin nature) all are born with which conceals the Truth of God

Infants are born knowing their Creator and as children... they can communicate with their Creator, it's not until the sinful nature kicks in that they start to sin... which draws them away from God and so later in their lives they would be given the option to make a choice on whether or not to believe or not believe as they did when they where babies. As a note mr. muslim... this is the belief of a Jesus Christ believer so I don't know if you have the same answer I do

It goes back further then being born. It is upon Conception. When the male sperm , gets the female pregnant. This is when I firmly believe the Soul of the tiny seed is placed. The seed comes from Man. Every man has a Soul. But some Souls do not carry out God's plan of teaching our children. It is every duty of parents to teach our children about God. Many little Souls don't get a chance. Every little seed(Soul) is given the chance to believe. It is up to the parents to carry out God's plan for all children to believe in Him. Some little seeds are denied that. It is not God's fault, but parents falliing short of the Glory of knowing God. It is man, who plants the seed(Soul). You say , that you know the answer. Or do you just think you know the answer??

Of Course they are not. Go to a desserted island where the word God has never been spoken and they will not know what you are talking about. I think people are born believing in people and sadly as time goes by we are through experience that you just can't trust everybody. With many animals you see that everyone helps take care of the little one's. In today's society you worry about them being mollested. SAD......

No but the Author of "The God Delusion" suggests that children are born with an inherrent gullibility that makes them believe their parents when they tell them about God. I think we have a natural instinct to search for something beyond our world but what we're taught is very influential.

no,
humans are born with a sinful nature and,
until God saves them, they do not know the true Living God.
"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Mother is the word for God on the lips and hearts of all children. - Eric Draven, The Crow
When we are tiny and dependent, we believe there is nothing our parents cannot do. But we grow, our knowledge grows, and we should put aside that childish belief when the time comes, just as we cast off our fear that there is something under the bed waiting for us when the room is dark.

No........A more powerful force is the obvious answer to people without any other explanation.
What caused the lighting to burn our crops? Obviously it was a force more powerful than humans.
What can we do to stop it from happening again? Try to appease the force with worship and sacrifice.
POOF!.......God with a personality appears and you have a new religion. Build on that first concept over many generations and you have the complex religions of today.
