you mean the iron plates ? Vidal sasson makes pretty good styling products being that they have been around since forever in the industry and know what they are making, but anyway
use a silicone styling protectant
Then you should try to blow out your hair out first, using a a big brush and a downward motion ( so to close off the follicles, so you hair does not frizz)
then using the iron if you start from the under hair and work your way up helps, as well as do not start on wet hair all that does is help to fry you hair then you'll just have frizz, a little damp should do it
hope it helps

Some hair need itr to be at a higher temperature to work. Try to higher the temperature. If that specific straightner does not have a button lets you put it to a higher temperature then let it stay on for a while. Also, try to use a special product for when you are staraightening your hair.
You can find these products at sephora or sephora.com
Good luck!

well if urs is like mine you need to be careful because mine has different settings such as steam iron which you need water for otherwise it will burn up. if urs is just dry make sure the temp. is proper for ur hair type... look in the book it SHOULD say something about it if not most of them are 25 for normal hair and 30up for curls. i would need to know more details on it to help you any more.

I have thicker hair and I have to set the heat on my FHI to 370, so depending on the thickness of your hair, you may have to adjust the temperature to get it to do what you want it to. I would also suggest getting ceramic plates, they don't tangle or snag at your hair.
