Does anyone know how to make Windows Picture and Fax Viewer your default picture viewer?

Go to any file that has an extension you want to open with the Viewe r (such as jpg). Right click on the file and select "Open with...." from the menu. In the list that appears find (or browse) to the Viewer. Click on it once to highlight it. Click the little check box at the bottom of the list that says "Allows use this program to open this kind of file".

Repeat for any other extensions you want to open with Viewer (bmp, tif, gif, etc.)

Right click on the icon once. On the menu click "open with" and click "choose program". Select Windows Picture and Fax Viewer and make sure "always use the selected program to open this file" is checked. Click "ok".
