I recently got my hair highlighted and absolutly hate it! Its orange and brassy looking and i hate that look. the reason im sooo mad is because i specifically told her that i do not want it to look orange or brassy! ughhh!
anyway, my problem is that Im moving in two days and my hairstylist is out of town until jan. 1st.
What do i do? Should i just call them and have someone else fix it? will they? will they charge me again?
are they going to be mad or annoyed with me if someone else has to fix the problem? i cannot continue going out with my orange head! Please someone let me know what to say to the salon or what to do?

i recommend either dyeing it the color it was before the highlights and starting from scratch (wat i had to do) or try to get hightlights on the highlights, any hairdresser will do it so dont stress that u are moving. I hope it works out for u bc i know how it feels, i was in like the same situation :)

Dyeing already badly hair can make your hair go green. My ex-girlfriend who is a hairdresser did this to my hair. After 3 goes she finally got it right. She doesn't specialise in dyeing so I don't really blame her.

The lesson, don't try and fix it yourself, you need professional help.

Your hairdresser should fix the problem for you free of charge. If you ask for something and they don't give it to you, then you have a right for them to fix it or not pay.

Check the colour of your hair under natural light conditions. The problem with dyed hair, is that it is reflective. So under ordinary yellow bulbs your hair may appear very orange, but under fluro lights or in daylight it may not look that way.

So when you go to complain you may find your hair looks fine under the hairdressers lights.

Note, the people who dye hair are usually juniors. They only wash, dry and dye hair. They haven't learnt enough yet to cut hair. Learning how to dye hair is not that hard, so low paid juniors usually do this work. Which can mean they sometimes get it wrong, even though it might not be too difficult.

Choose the right colour from the colour book, and if your hair doesn't match that, then complain.
