I could ask how you explain your ignorance but then I would have to explain mine. What proof is there for neanderthals except for some artist making us believe that somebody actuallly knows what things were like so long ago. Don't even tell me that you have first hand knowledge on the subject. It is all daydreams over very few bone fragments.

I imagine if you asked 10 Christians of different denominations this question, you'd get 10 different answers. One of the reasons I was given for how the Neanderthals and other life like dinosaurs existed without human beings was that they existed on a different Earth than what we do. Apparently, that view is dependent on a person's interpretation of Genesis. There are some Christians who believe that the matter that makes up all of existence may be millions of years old, but that God formed the Heavens and this Earth only a few thousand years ago. It's within this reasoning that they also believe that Paradise will be formed by all of the Universe collapsing in on itself and being separated again. That's how I was raised. I've also come across several religious Christians who tell me that I am a heretic and that dinosaur bones and Neanderthal skeletons are tricks of the Devil. Still there are others who don't even attempt an explanation and just say you have to have faith. It comes down to your own belief and what satisfies your intellect.

I think it's terrible that some absolutely normal and sane people most of the time - who study science and the world around them, can fall into the ridiculous trap of religion.
Be it childhood indoctrination or just sheer idiocy and stubborness to change their mind once they've made a commitment to it - it is ridiculous.
Oh and they explain it by batting the issue away with a nice - god works in mysterious ways, is trying to test our belief etc..
Millions of fossils and things we've dug out the ground and show them, years of scientific research, and development, and evidence of evolution and they ignore it. But do you think if by some fluke we dug out the ground an angel they'd be as quick to ignore it? no way! These people are the most serial and prolific objects of denial. Just be happy you've got a bunch of people you're smarter than mate.

The truth is that if they are a true "bible thumpers" they really can't because they are not mentioned anywhere in the holy scriptures.

Read Genesis.God created man but none was found that could till the fields(neanderthal).So God created Adam and separated him to the garden(man).

Who are Bible Thumpers? And how does anyone explain neanderthais? Did they really exist? or are they a Darwinian fabrication? To date I don't know of any real fossil evidence supporting neanderthais. Do you know of any?

Good grief! Why do science and the Bible have to be compared. One is faith and the other is research. If they can't live in the same mind then that mind is too small!

I dont. because it is not of any importance to me. It is irrelevent. I believe the word of God. I am born again and I preach Christ crusified and without Christ we will face the wrath of God. I am not judging because I lived in sin before I repented and asked Jesus to be my saviour. I have tasted of God's Holy Spirit. and Jesus has overcome all things for me. I am no longer a slave to sin but to Christ Jesus. I dont judge you, but I want you to see also that according to the Word of God there is comming a day when God will judge the world in righteousness and your only way to be free from your sins is by relpenting and asking Christ to be Lord of you LIFE.

i'm a christian and back in high school i was taught that they were hairy people who died out after the cro-magnons.
and it is thought that the cro-magnon men hunted the neanderthals.
neanderthals were not smart eaither and they were farely large/tall
but they are not found in the Bible so i don't beleive in them
