Here in the Zoo where I live, we have that same problem. The Zoo keeper makes us put on diapers before he will serve us our food.

'

(Once he caught us using the diapers for table napkins; boy o boy did he get mad. -- he was ranting something about cleanliness and Godliness.)

The Bible also says that we should not murder each other. That does not mean that if you don't murder people you are a religious fanatic. The Bible is just stating something that we all know as good common sense. The Bible also states that we should be faithful to our wives. This too is just good common sense. When you have lived as long as I have and been on both sides of the fence you will know that a monogomous relationship is the only way that works. All other relationships create more pain than pleasure.

The Puritans went a bit overboard... The morality of The True Christian Faith comes from God's Word and Will. But, some news for all who do not acept God's Word and Will. They are not bound by God's law and can get away with whatever they can under man's Law. And most nowdays do.

It is not a Bible thing but a Church thing. since the beginnig the church has fought against anything that can make them lose control over people and has turned that into a sin.
It is easy to see that lust is a feeling difficult to control, when someone gets hot is unpredictable and many times we all do strange things just to f***. The church cannot allow losing control over the flock so they insisted on the "sin" instead of on the " love " part of the bible.
Have u ever heard the joke:
" a woman scratching her ear with a pencil and thinking: that must be a sin because i like it "

The Bible does say to avoid fornication and that is generally interpreted as "sleeping around". As for our culture being so "hung up sexually", it would seem that not only do we do just about anything the imagination can come with, we are "in your face" with it. I don't judge other people but can do with out hearing all the "nitty gritty" of other people's sexual behavior.

Try first the Spiritual Essence of God's Law, regarding His Righteousness. Thats what it says in truth and not the actual wording of the law, and not what it says at face value. For the Essence of the Law, according to Jesus, is, if you have the desire to do something its the same as doing it!

Just another example of; Romans 10:3 Paul writes; For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and "going about to establish their own righteousness" have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

The Bible tells us here that the average person goes about establishing his or her "Own" righteousness.

Ask any average person, if they think there a good person, most will tell you… Yes! I think I’m a good person. Why?

For the Bible says that every man is "pure in their own eyes." In Psalms 30:12 we read; There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

Other words; Humanity proclaims "it’s own" goodness. And the reason they do this, is because they have no ideal of the Righteousness of God. Let me repent this! They have "No" ideal of the Righteousness of God! Why? Because they have "No" Standard to compare themselves to.

It’s like looking a white horse grazing in the green grass and noticing how white and clean it looks, until it starts to snow. And then after the snow fall’s looking again, and noticed how dirty the horse looked now, against the white snow. It’s the same horse, so why the different? There a different, because there’s a different background.

So, when humanity compares itself to man’s standards, we come up reasonably clean. Yes! I think I’m a good person."

There are people in the world if we were to compare ourselves to them, we would come up white as snow. Take for example Hitler, or Charles Mansion. If we compared ourselves to them, we would come out looking white as pure snow.

However, when we have the snowy white "Righteousness" of God’s Laws as the backdrop, then suddenly we can see ourselves as we really are.

The the purpose of the Law, was to lead mankind to Calvary, and no further.

Actually, it was some high ranking Cardinal or even a Pope way back when who just decided on his own whims that it distracted people from God, so it must be bad. Sorry I can't provide a name, but you can try looking it up. But again, what most people take for God given scripture that MUST be in the Bible somewhere if it's part of church doctrine, it was actually just a high handed biggot messing things up for the rest of us.

You got it right...culture has the problem with sexuality. Read the bible for yourselves and you will see that the bible doesn't restrict you from sex but teaches how to have a fantastic relationship between a husband and wife. (Read Song of Solomon)

1Co 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Act 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Act 15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

1Co 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

1Co 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

There is more but I do not want to overload you.

Consider these and put a proper priority on it. I hope you decide well.

I don't know exactly what you're wantin your answer to be but even if we where to argue the Bible.... hardly anyone goes by the Word of God anyhow. Secondly, every country has certain standards that are acceptable in their society, we just happen to be the way we are.

On the contrary it says, 'Be fruitful and multiply'.
However it says that a man and a woman should come together and be one. That is not talking about procreation.

So, we should find a good mate that will be a helper to us, and we should marry and have sons and daughters for as long as we want.

Thank God at our age, we cannot bring children into the world.
We will leave that for you younger people.
