It's genetic. Our genes are basically programmed to deteriorate as the cells reproduce. That's why changes such as skin getting wrinkly as we age happen.

Possibly, some day, there will be a genetic therapy for aging, but that doesn't seem to be likely real soon. Obviously, some creatures have longer lives, and the mechanisms for that are being studied.

A major problem with immortality though, is the issue of overpopulation. I don't think immortality would be that great of an idea before we figure out exactly where people might live. Maybe if we develop better interplanetary transportation, making it affordable, we might have room for a while, but even the two planets that we might reasonably habitate, and possibly the moon, don't seem to have enough room for a human population that becomes immortal.

In any event, It's not likely to happen soon, so just keep living healthy.

does a single pair of clothing last you forever? no it wears out and becomes eventually unsuitable for wearing
your body is the same...
it is the difference between passing from one life to another...the way you change your clothes we will change this body when it becomes unsuitable and worn out...and our soul will find itself a new body and with that body a new environment to continue doing its karma and coming closer to moksh or union with this force called god.....oh this is just me and the bits of hinduism i borrowed...you can choose to believe you go to hell if you'd like although it isn't a very pleasant notion to constantly see yourself as a puppet hanging from strings held by an angry tyrant named god....
its your belief...this is what i beleive

oh yes and i second ana on the punctuation and grammar...complete lack of it may cause you figure of expression to be completely void and surely you hope to be understood when you ask a qeustion or else that was five points and much anticipation to get a desirable answer down the the drain..but you see i tried :)

First one is mandatory.
The ol' carbon cycle, you know.

The second one is not.
