I saw a pic of her and her new man (i guess), i have been holding feelings for her but when i saw that pic, i didn't feel as bad as i though i would. I kind of felt glad she had moved on. Now, I feel like I can truly start looking for my next significant other. Is this weird? Why did I hold out for 8 months?

You held out because you needed that time to let go of the feelings you had for her.Now it's time to move on and start something new and refreshing. Just take your time and don't rush she's out there waiting for you...

Well.. usually this happens when your relationship has ended, and your guilty of the break up. Did you feel guilty for doing something wrong? Now that you know she has moved on, you no longer feel guilty, or feel like she is hurting over you.

The good thing, is that she has moved on, and you're finally ready to move on.

Best of luck to you!

Merry Christmas!

Because you took the time to take care of yourself and get over the "grieving" process... lucky you didn't jump into a relationship.. smart move!

i know that i have always felt really bad when i broke up with someone, but at the same time, even though i knew i was breaking their heart, i knew that i had to let them go to be truly happy myself. and letting them go also gives them the chance to find someone that would really make them happy.
