LOL. Yeah, with the exception of medical emergencies or losing control during childbirth, I'd have to agree with you there.
To get her to change her ways, you may have to have one or more frank discussions which make it clear that, although taking a dump is certainly natural, it's also unattractive and a turnoff to other people.
If she has trouble relating to this, perhaps you can bring up other natural functions that most people don't enjoy sharing. Nose picking and farting, for example. How is she with those? Would she like to be on the receiving end of a fart-a-thon?
Regardless of whether she understands or not, as a matter of courtesy, she should respect your wishes. If she can't do that, it may be a sign that she lacks respect and empathy and over the long term you have no future with her. Because frankly, it's only a short jump from taking a dump with the door open to using your razor to shave her legs and not rinsing it out.

No, I don't think it's rude. Once I stayed in a crowded tramping hut when it was raining heavily. The outhouse was a fairly long walk away and we all, both men and ladies, agreed to leave the door open when we were using it so everybody could see it was occupied and they wouldn't have to stand there in the rain waiting their turn. Along with most of my neighbours, family members and friends, I'm comfortable having a conversation when one or both of us is on the throne. Besides, what's the point of having nice underwear if you can't show it off?

Depends on who's in the house with you. I wouldn't think it's extremely rude if it were my significant other, but I certainly wouldn't want to see her on the crapper. I would politely ask her to close the door when she's doing that.
If it were say a friend or something I would probably yell at them and call them a weird freak.

Well, if you're the only one in the house than it's ok but just randomnly taking a dump with the door wide open? I think it's more than disgusting than rude. It's not very lady-like.

Let me guess--she has a sister and you do not have a brother?
I shared a bathroom with a couple sisters growing up and I leave the door open when it's just me and my husband. He didn't have any brothers and it took some getting used to on his part.
If you don't like it, tell her to stop. If she won't listen, show her this thread.

I wouldn't be able to dump anything with the door open... lol. She must be very comfortable around you and loves sharing everything with you. Consider it a privilege.
How about making sure you have "Oust" in the house? Next time she does it, start spraying it vigorously in the bathroom and beyond- while she is at it. I did that when my husband left the door open once.

It is not particularly rude to leave the door open, exposing yourself and sharing your bodily function noises. However it is rude to expose others to the smell of your activities. She may wish to consider flashing you in other ways and other times when you appreciate her scent a little more and in other ways.

That is disgusting, absolutely trashy and gross. WHY would she leave the door open when she is clearly able to close it? Does she want to show off or something? That baffles me. You seriously should reconsider your relationship with her.
