If we carried signs; refused to fight; 18 year olds refused to sign up for the draft; we had mass immigration to Canada...do you think we could bring our troops home?

How much influence did these people have on Nixon to bring the troops home?

As a person that has participated in anti-war protest and movement in the 60's and 70's I think the honest answer is that these protest went farther influencing congress more then it did the president. Congress cut off the funding for the war in Vietnam and Nixon had very little choice but to bring the troops home.

No, and as far ar I know our troops do not want to come home until they complete their mission.

Other people want them home to fulfill their agendas.

The only agendas that need fufilled is the WTC, Pentagon, USS Cole, Flight 93, and the future of America.

People you just don't get that our survival is at stake here. We are at war, the extremist terrorists have declared war on us and want it clearly stated that we must die.

Support your country and troops. Let them carry out their mission as all this political wrangling by politicians and special interests group for their own self serving causes is what is getting more of our troops killed.

If you feel Bush is a bad president then you are just like the rest of the mindless drones that believe what the news media wants them to believe or makes them believe.

We lost 3000 in 5 yrs and 50,000 in Vietnam. the troops know that if they leave it unfinished their, the enemy will finish it over here

Nixon? You haven't got a clue. Nixon ended the war that Johnson (LBJ) a Democrat expanded.

Nixon was elected on his assurance that he would END the war. Who the hell do you think you are kidding.

so far the kids can choose if they go or not, when they start the draft, it will never go on as long as it did in the 60's, I think we all learned that lesson

The differance in this conflict as opposed to the Viet Name experience is that the North Vietnamese only wanted us out of Viet Nam. These folks as demonstrated on numerous occasions want to conquer us.
