The warriors in spiritual warfare are actually the granny's who pray for the family members unrelentingly. Prayer is by far the most powerful weapon in the Christian arsenal and Satan will try anything to get you to stop. Front line stuff like casting out demons is an area that requires a Christian to have a very clean life so the enemy cannot bring accusation against you. The last thing you want to do is lay hands on a satanic priest and command a demon to come out and have him say...and who are you? you are then in very big trouble because you went in unauthorized. Only do that stuff when God tells you to because then He equips you for it as well. Watch the last part of this video to see the true power of spiritual warfare. It was made by an atheist and it is very impartial and real. John Safran Vs God shows a man who tried every religion and allowed demons in all over the place and at the end went to a Christian church specializing in deliverance.

I have been in the renewal movement since 1974. From my experience, spiritual warfare is the war the devil is waging on humans, the creation loved by God. The devil would want to win their hearts and minds so as to make the live a life away from the right path set by God. The closer you are to God or trying to live according to the revealed path of God, the more the devil will try to do warefare against you. Some very commojn examples I can think of are: when you are inspired to praynand ypu try to meditate, the more you get distracted; when you plan to do something spiritually good, obstacles suddenly get in the way, eg. you get a flat tire, you have a fight with your wife, you get sick, and the like. There are more. If all these are making sense to you and would be interested to get more info, feel free to email me. God bless

First of all it is true. Romans 8:7-14 or so. It talks about the flesh warring against the spiritual man. Satan uses our minds to make war on our bodies. If we have the Holy Spirit - which we get when we are saved - we still have our fleshly body and those two things warring against each other. We want to be good and please God - but our fleshly nature along with the devil (whispering in our ears in a way) keeps us from pleasing God and continuing to sin. This is spiritual warfare - Satan wants to get in our mind and turn us away from God - but we must resist. Greater is God within us than he (devil) that is within the world - this is what the Bible says. There are many other Scriptures but cannot find them right now. I will look for more. We must have the Holy Spirit to resist the devil - salvation - are you saved? If you are, the battle is waging and will not end. Satan wants us to turn against God and he will do whatever he can to do this. The Bible says "He (the devil) lurks about seeking whom he may devour" - that is you and me. Resist him - call out to Jesus and he will flee. Stay close to God and He will be your help. I hope this helps. Ephesians 6 - use these - our weapons against the devil and his schemes. Blessings dear one.

Ephesians 6:12 says, "we have a wrestling...........against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places." The primary wicked spirit is, of course, Satan the Devil, "the ruler of the demons." (Matthew 12:24-26). The bible portrays our fight as "a wrestling" or hand to hand struggle. In the wrestling matches of ancient Greece, each participant tried to unbalance his opponent in order to throw him to the ground. Likewise the Devil wants us to lose our spiritual balance. He uses many methods to try to take away our relationship with God. But God has equipped us with what we need "the complete suit of armor" . This is a spiritual armor. It is with this that we fight spiritual warfare. For instance Ephesians 6:17 in part tells us, "to accept the sword of the spirit, that is God's word." We use the bible to expose the truth and also to defend us when we are assulted by temptations or attempts are made to destroy our faith.

Ok so I'm only 17 but I know for a fact what I'm talking about. I've been through so much this year after I got baptized that's why I'm always so confident in upholding JESUS and who HE is. That's just it, I know HIM! Er...off topic. Just read this.

The battlefield is our mind. Spiritual warfare takes place in our mind.

Our enemies:

The devil. (Scripture Reference; 1 John 2:16, 1 Peter 5:18, 1 Thessalonians.)

Satan's weapon is temptation. He makes everything appear to be good, saint, harmless and innocent than what they really are. He covers the pit with a blanket and tell you to walk over it.

But The LORD teachers us that it is not a sin to be tempted but when we yeild to the temptation, when we act upon it, then we commit a sin. (Reference James 1:14, Mathew 4:3, 4:4, 1 Corinthians 10:13)

Your flesh. (Reference Galatians 5:17, Roamns 8:8, 1 Peter 2:11)
Our own desires, our own pride, our own lusts can be our enemy.

The world. (Reference 1 John 5:19, James 4:4)The things of the world are also against us, because as you can clearly see for yourself they are against GOD, with all their conterfiet religions and so on.

Now these enemies will attack you. Becasue they know that you are on the road to life. There are ways spiritual warfare can occur.

For me it was the continued questioning of am I being a Christian for GOD or for myself. I started doubting GOD uncontrolably, but I knew that I didn't want to do it, it just kept happening and happening, and have thoughts I had no control over. And when I finally decided to pray about it, the very same day ( truth from my heart ) that was the topic in church.

I love my GOD so much.

HE teaches me that HE gave us an armour. (Refernce Ephesians 6:10-18 please read this and meditate on it,)

2 Corinthians 3-5 says:
3. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the fleash:
4. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strong holds
5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of CHRIST.

Just remember to trust in GOD, depend on HIM at all times, not your own understand. HE will deliver you from the hands of your enemies like HE has promised.

Philippians 4:7 says;
And the peace of GOD, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through CHRIST JESUS!

May GOD bless you!

I can't say I KNOW anything per se, but I believe spiritual warfare is a tragic example today of conflicting perspectives. Many radical muslims and radical christians share eerily similar viewpoints, yet claim to be opposite. Each side claims its holiness and 'rightness'. Each side claims the other side is 'evil' and must be converted to its 'good' side. Many Christians believe that Islam is evil, yet many radical muslims will commit acts such as 'suicide bombing' because they believe it is GOOD and holy just as many Christians believe killing Saddam Hussein and Iraqi 'insurgents' and soldiers is ultimately GOOD and holy because they believe it will be beneficial in the end.

Personally, I believe war in the name of Christianity is absolutely absurd and hypocritical. In the old testament, you can find the adage "A time for war, a time for peace", yet many verses in the Old Testament are contradictory to the New Testament. I personally subscribe to the Chrisitanity which Jesus preached in the New Testament. He said to "turn the other cheek" to be struck when struck on one cheek, yet the Old Testament says "an eye for an eye".

I believe Christianity should be purely about love, understanding and teaching yet accepting. It is not our right, even as Christians, to impose a religion or creed of any kind on anyone else. We can speak to them, listen to them, and then we have done our job.

Spiritual 'warfare' is barbaric and only consistent with religions which preach supremacy at all costs, bloodshed, punishment, and hatred. I find what Jesus represented to be antithetical to these things, and I cannot imagine Jesus encouraging warfare in his name. This seems absolutely absurd, and although I believe some do mean well by it, they are ignorant of Christianity and need to reexamine Christ, Christianity and whether it is the appropriate religion for them, or maybe they are more consistent with orthodox Judaism in the Old Testament and the Pharesies whom Jesus so passionately preached against and called hypocrites.

I've agonized while watching my 7-year-old daughter bend over (assuming the right position), then sway forward and back for 10 minutes, trying to work up the gumption to jump into the swimming pool, even though all her other classmates had already done it and a very nice young instructor was waiting, arms out, ready to catch her.

Spiritual warfare is like that. We know we should resist the tempation, but we really don't want to. So we're paralyzed.

When we really repent, we just do it.

Yes.

Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
