I tried clicking on the disc under My Computer, I tried using the Autorun, but nothing works. I tried everything the instructions suggest and it won't work. My system refuses to recognize that the disc is even there...

If other CDs work in the drive, then your sims disc could be corrupted. You might have to take it back to the store and exchange it. If you're sure the disc is fine though, try checking your computer's Device Manager to see if there's anything that's interfering with your drive. If so, you should either see a question mark or an exclamation point in a yellow circle. Once you've fixed that, the system should recognize your disc then. Hope this helps. =)

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm having the exact same problem. My computer wont regonize the disk, but I know it isn't the disk because it works in my moms computer and another computer, which are both a lot older than this one. Other CDs work in the drive on my computer too, so I don't know what the problem is.

If you, or anyone else finds out how to fix this, can you email me at Trazi_Kitana@yahoo.com ? If I find out anything I'll let you know as well.

The exact same thing happened to me. It installed fine on the other computer, but with this computer nothing works. My system also refuses to recognize that the disc is there!

It could be a bad disk or a dirty disk. Do other disks work in that drive?
