I consume soy milk for the past few months because I've been working out and soy milk have more protein than regular cow milk.
But I heard if you drink soy milk everyday for a few years, you can get prostate cancer. Is that right?
And during this research, I found out that cow milk is not good for you either. Can somebody tell me why?

Both are myths. Soy is just fine for you. It's a plant.

Soy milk is fine for you. It does taste bad. I like the lite vanilla. Cows milk is fine for you too. They recommend drinking simmed because you do not need the fat calories of whole milk. Soy milk is recommended for postmenopausal women because the plant hormones in are good for you. Cows milk has growth hormone in it they use to get cows producing more milk. Have you noticed that people are taller lately?

No it isn't dangerous.....it's much more healthier. I love the vanilla Soy Continent 8. It's the best. But to be honest if any milk that isn't good for you it's cow milk because they put all kinds of hormones in the cow and pesticides and a whole bunch of unmentionables.

No, I do not think it's dangerous. Vegetarians drink soy milk primarily and also consume all forms of soy products for protein. It's protein is plant-protein and will not cause cholestrol to shoot up compared to over-consumption of meat protein. It's not as readily absorbed though, so soy should be also consumed together with other vegetables that contains protein e.g lentils, nuts, dark green veg.

research, and more researchers seem to change their minds every now and again. In my part of the universe, many of us consume a lot of soy milk - we are still very healthy. The same with cow's milk - we and our children grew up on this and they are still healthy.

No, i do not think it is dangerous.

I have not come across any report stating that it shall be stopped being produced, etc...

I have read before that soya milk has lecithin which improves our memory power and i have like it since.

If soya milk and cow milk were dangerous, it wouldn't have taken them so many years to discover the toxicity, when they are so widely and popularly consumed all around the world, my dear..

No,I eat soy often.Cow's milk is bad for you because

MYTH: "Milk is necessary for strong bones."

FACT: McDougall: "Where does a cow or an elephant get the calcium needed to grow its huge bones? From plants, of course. Only plants. … People in Asia and Africa who consume no milk products after they're weaned from their mother's breast grow perfectly healthy skeletons in the normal size for their race. A consistent conclusion published in the scientific literature is clear: Calcium deficiency of dietary origin is unknown in humans. Dairy products contain large amounts of animal proteins. This excess protein removes calcium from the body by way of the kidneys. Knowing the physiological effects on calcium metabolism of eating excess protein explains why societies with the highest intakes of meat and dairy products--the United States, England, Israel, Finland, and Sweden--also show the highest rates of osteoporosis, the disease of bone-thinning."

Prostate cancer is caused by high sat. fat intake and high cholesterol.
