Yes this is why Christians in Arab countries who speak Arabic will say Allah when they pray. Yet for some reason no American English speaking Christian is willing to see this. They seem to think that all Christians say God but that is an English word.
Arabic Allah
English God
Hebrew Yahweh
Spanish Dios
French Dieu
German Gott
Italian Dio
Dutch De god
Portuguese Deus
Russian Бог
Norwegian Gud

Yes. Yahweh, God and Allah are different names for the same creative force worshipped by the descendants of Abraham. Unfortunately they are all "exclusive" religions which claim that only their Creator and only their Holy Book is the correct one. I find that sad. The World is marvelous (full of marvel) and wonderful (full of wonder), and I think it's a shame that the People of the Book spend so much of their time and energy castigating and killing each other in the name of their creator. I hope that all believers spend some time this season thinking about what it really means to be a Jew/Christian/Moslem. Have a safe and happy holiday. Peace be upon you all.

Neither the Jews nor the Christians believe Ishmael was a prophet, but according to Islam he was. Christians and Jews believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Muslims believe in the God of "Abraham and Ishmael."
Plus the personal name of God in the Bible is Yahweh.
The personal name of God in the Koran is Allah.

To “a1cbrandy”: Who told you that muslims don’t worship who made heaven and earth..and man and woman – you’re 100% wrong, they do
To “Theophilus”: Who told you that muslims represents god as a crescent and Muhammad as a star – you’re 100% wrong, they don’t.
To “A2Z”: I’d give you the best answer – You’re a man of great knowledge.
One more thing to add, & you can take it as a question to think about. If this was the case with Jesus as considering him the son of god, why don't we consider Adam the same? No father...No mother...then...!!
My own belief is that Jesus is a Prophet like many prophets who were sent to earth by our creator (God) with one messege to the human race - which is to believe in god. There are offcourse differences between prophets besides each one of them was tied with his own meracle(s). So, why did we consider Jesus only as the son of god while some of the other prophets were much more powerfull (meracles, beliefs...etc)?
My short answer is that the more you know & read about the history of earth & prophets, the more you get the full picture.
Guys/Gals - please consider this as my own believes & you're more welcome to discuss or go check what I've been discussing yourself.
Cheers...

I know, we are actually worshipping the same God, Allah, Eloh, Elohim. We are all children of Ibrahim. But there is one being called, Dajjal, Satan, Devil, Lucier, Old Serpent, Snake, who make us all fight with each other.
The Bible calls him (Satan) the Father of lies and muderers. He is also called the accuser of the brethren.
He accused us so that we are angry and fight against each other, and kill each other, when actually we should help each other because with are brothers. We are all chldren of Adam and Ibrahim.
Revelation 12:9.10
9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.
If we read in the Quran.Al-Ankabut 29:46 "Wala tujadiloo ahla alkitabi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu illa allatheena thalamoo minhum waqooloo amanna biallathee onzila ilayna waonzila ilaykum wailahuna wailahukum wahidun wanahnu lahu muslimoona"
Meaning:
And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)."
And in Surat Al-Ma'idah 5:68:
" Qul ya ahla alkitabi lastum AAala shayin hatta tuqeemoo alttawrata waalinjeela wama onzila ilaykum min rabbikum walayazeedanna katheeran minhum ma onzila ilayka min rabbika tughyanan wakufran fala tasa AAala alqawmi alkafireena"
Meaning;
"O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith."
When Muhammad was first called to become a prophet to his people. Waraqah bin Naufal, his wife's uncle, a Christian helped, supporte and defended him.
When the followers of Muhammad were persecuted and massacred by the Arabs who rejected the teachings of Islam, they ran for protection and were saved by the king of Abesynia and his people who were Christians.

If Allah is the same God as Jehovah, then why is he represented as a crescent and Muhammad as a star?
Wouldn't that identify Allah as the moon God?
Genesis 16:11 and 12 say,
11 And the Angel of the Lord said to her:
"Behold, you are with child,
And you shall bear a son.
You shall call his name Ishmael,
Because the Lord has heard your affliction.
12 He shall be a wild man;
His hand shall be against every man,
And every man's hand against him.
And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."
So, Ishmael shall be a wild man who shall raise his hand against everybody and they shall raise their hand against him.
Does that sound anything like what we have going on in this world today with the descendants of Ishmael?
Have they become wild men, raising their hand against every man, causing them to raise their hand against him?
Are they running through the streets with grenade launchers on their shoulders?
Do they show up in numbers to overturn cars and burn them because of a cartoon or something the pope said?

No He most certainly isn't. I am not prejudice against people who have other faiths but don't confuse yourself. A house against itself will not stand. If we had the same God.... we wouldn't be in a Holy War right now. If we had the same God... you too would acknoledge Jesus Christ as the Son of The Most High God= Jehovah. Don't get caught up speaking blasphemous things... God forbid!!!!

Allah and the Christian God are not the same. Not according to the Bible. There is only one God..and he is the God of all. Muslims worship a different god..and not the one who made heaven and earth..and man and woman.
