God-Jesus is my God, and he comes first, since I can trust that he would be the last to let me down, and if he does, it's for a good reason perhaps something that I don't see through his eyes- unless he allows me to see it.

God comes first ; he is God ; he does not let you down; you don't know the reasons things happen; everything good and bad touches our life; unfortunately sometimes we are so stubborn you get a nudge , then a push ; then a sledge hammer; there is a lesson in all things; sometimes you need some distance and time from the event to see what you couldn't when you were in turmoil but he is always there; you can't ask for things in our time b/c that is not how it works; it happens in God's time which is always the right time even if we may feel differently at times; trust in God b/c there is no one better to be on your side at all times; The God of Abraham, the heavenly father of Jesus and all men. I was saved from drowning at the age of 2 ; wandered away from a family party 3 houses away; walked into a built in pool into 5 foot deep end; the owner was in the house which was quite a distance from the pool said I never heard such an ear piercing scream as I heard that day ; I can't believe that I heard you from that far, someone was looking out for you for not for the sharpness, loudness of your scream , you would be dead; as told to my family when she brought me home; had a feeling when I was about 11 to ride my bike on the sidewalk instead of the road which I never did when a car came speeding, screeching around the corner and up over the curb; had I not got onto the sidewalk, I would have been struck down by the car. These are just a few of the instances in my life - trust and faith

Well, I'm a work in progress...I acknowledge my Creator, God. I pray, and I meditate and I honestly try to carefully meditate on my every emotion and thought that it is not wicked, and I strive to pray hard for God to help me with my vices every day...many, many, many time a day. Only God has my progress report though, so I don't know how well I am progressing in God's eyes, but in my own, I have come a mighty LONG way from where I was 4 years ago.

Jesus Christ is my God but unfortunately... due the fact that I'm no hypocrite... He hasn't always come first in my life and that's what gets me in trouble. It's hard to carry a cross that leads you to despair, loneliness, and pain (many of the times). Some people like to sugar coat their faith but if a person is really following the Jesus Christ of the Cross.. then that' exactly what should be taking place. Read the words of Paul & John.

The people I respect, love, and admire come first in my life, gods are immortal, humans have notoriously short lifespans. My gods are aware of my respect for them, but I have to take care of my own while they're still here. I have many gods, each god appeals to me on a different level, for different reasons.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Saviour. Does he come first in my life? Well, to be honest, not always--though he should. I think that when people say "God's first in my life!" they really mean that Christ is the guiding light in their life. Their entire raison d'etre--their entire reason for being--is rooted in their belief in Christ. It doesn't mean that they are thinking of God every waking second.
The goal should be to root your existence in Christ. That's putting God first.
