If one believes in an external omnipotent God, then it is hard for us, if you assume that we are somehow less than God, to second guess what God might 'want'.
The idea of a monotheistic God 'wanting' is a little odd. It implies a lack of perfection/completeness.
Pain, suffering, killing are all some of the hardest facets of existence for us to grapple with to understand, though we may choose (if indeed we have a choice) to accept without understanding, trusting the overall cosmic design and, implicitly, whatever designer(s) there may be.

Allah doesn't want people dead, he wants people to submit to him. And for your information, when you say Allah you are saying God in Arabic, just as if I said Dios, I would be saying God in Spanish. The verses referring to death, apply only during times of war, and to the idolators, who were adamant against the Prophet and his message of Monotheism. He is watching and testing us all. And truly the Day Of Judgment is true.

Ok, hold up. The true muslims don't want people dead. it's the twisted ones who do. It's because of that, that that idea doesn't occur to them (and that was WAY too many 'that's in one sentence)

Does it ever occur to Christians that is God was really omnipitent they wouldn't have to pray because he would already know what they wanted and what the outcome was going to be.

Doesnt seem to occur to the American Christians slaughtering millions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Japan Korea etc etc etc
or to all the Christians who have commited genocide against the aborigines in Australia, Jews in Europe , and Native Americans in South and North America. Or to the Christians who fought the two bloodiest wars in human history WWI and WWII or to the Christians who slaughtered 1 million in Rwanda, 5 million in Congo, 1/4 million Muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo 100,000s of Muslims in Checyna etc etc or to the Christians who slaughter millions of babies through abortions
But since they believe they will go to heaven just foraccepting Jesus and not be held accountable for their actions (unlike Muslims) they do this with joy - sick people -sick religion
