In 1898 the Phillippeans was a US Commonwealth from the Spanish-American War. In 1948, it became an independent nation after WWII. There is a kinship between the Filipino people and the US, more so than from Europe. Spain was cruel to the Filipinos when they ruled it. That's why Filipinos are more apt to settle in the US than in Europe.

"Better healthcare."
The US doesn't have better healthcare, I don't know where you heard that lie but it'll do you good not to spread it.
Filipinos are migrating to the US rather than Europe for two reasons. It's closer geographically and the it use to be a US colony so US culture is somewhat intergrated making it easier for them to adapt to American cultures. If you were American and had a choice to move to England or Japan, which would be a more likely choice? The place that has similar culture to yours or a place where you'd be a complete stranger.
PS. This isn't a boxing question.
