I've been with several guys before and I don't feel very confortable telling how many to my new bf. I don't think that he expects that I've been that many.

I had sexual partners that I can't consider boyfriends, I know exactly what the total number of guys I've been with, and I'm absolutely not ashamed about it. I would like to be honest about it, but I'm a little afraid of his reaction when I tell him.

I guess it depends on the impression you have given him already.
Do you think its importent for you to bring that up?
If so, would anybody else be able to say otherwise?
Arn't relationships supposed to be open and honest?
I know how you feel... I always stop at 4.

You don't have to tell him a lie. Just make a joke about it . . . say "Oh, you're only number 731 . . . or is it 732?"
Seriously, that might work to stall him until later. If this is a REALLY new relationship, don't talk about your ex's. Nobody wants to hear about them anyway. Most people don't like to talk about them either. If you're asked after you've been together for a while, then be honest. For now, dodge the question unless it really seems important to him. It IS his business, after all, because of all the STDs going around.
It's a shame you were with so many. That's why I advise people not to sleep with their bf/gf until at least 6 months into the relationship, preferably at least a year, and ideally when you get married. Be more careful in the future! It really isn't hard to do . . . I'm 21 and I'm still a virgin. Good night!

Only divulge the number of serious long-term relationships, and pretend you don't remember the rest.
Example: I have told my bf about 3 of my ex's. One because my bf sees him all the time, one that really broke my heart, and one that's a scary alcoholic. I didn't detail every single guy I ever went out with because that would make me seem like I "got around" even though my current bf is the only one I've slept with.
If he's asking for sexual partners, then you should probably tell the truth and offer to get tested. The reason I broke up with one ex is because he kept saying he wanted me to be his "first" when he had actually already slept with at least six other girls. I found out from my sister who was one of the girls he slept with years before I knew him. After that I was disgusted and you wouldn't want him to find out you lied about something that could affect his health.

I think that u shouldn't lie in the first place. If you lie, eventually he will find out and it will be MUCH worse. Just tell him the truth.

Why do you have to tell him? What happened before he was in the picture is none of his business

If you dont tell him, please count fr yourself. It helps you do introspection. One day you have to make full point to that number.
