Do you know of a cheap GPS? (Under $50)?

Try ebay. I think you'll be able to find one in your price range. It might be used, but I know plenty of guys that received them as gifts and never used them because they thought they were too difficult to master. They really aren't that difficult. Just don't be intimidated and practice with it before you go out into the field.
