So...he tells me all the time (on aim and on the phone) that he likes me so much and will do anything for me...but when i talk to him in person he won't look directly into my eyes. he always looks away. he clams hes sooooo nervous around me...but i want him to look into my eyes when i talk (or he talks)...how do i accomplich this???????

have you ever thought that maybe it's out of respect and how he was raised. i'm sure he likes you but it might take him awhile to ease into looking at you straight in the eyes. it took my bf awhile to look me straight in the eyes. he eventually came around but i think it was after he knew he could trust me and that i wouldn't ever hurt him or his feelings. what does he do at dinner when ya'll talk?? does he look down or to the side?? don't push him into staring at you. it wouldn't hurt to ask him in a round about way why he doesn't stare at people in the eyes when he talks to them--you might get the answer to your question without putting him on the spot. good luck and give him some time :)

I'm not a guy but I have problems looking people in the eyes too it's not that I'm shy or lying it just makes me uncomfortable and I find the perspective on the person I'm looking at keeps changing so I'm not sure you should try to change something that might just be the way he is.

I have the same problem. But my basic advice is to talk to him on the internet and ask him why. Why can t you look me in the eyes when we talk? Why is it that if you can do anything for me, you cant look me in the eyes? If that is too harsh make it simple like...When is are you going to look me in the eyes when we talk?

Unless he's from a culture that considers eye contact a taboo, chances are he's trying to conceal something from you. Maybe he's not being honest about something and can't face looking you in the eyes. Ask him.

i dont know how you accomplish that however trust him i know my paretns always told me it was bad manners not look people in the eyes but i get really nervous to and my stomach gets quesy and i get uneasy and then stumble on my words if it really means that much to you sit him down and look him in the eyes but dont say nothing to each other but do it slowly i look at my boy when he is not looking at me and i really do love him i am just afriad i just dont know of what

i have no idea but if hes that nervous u should tell him to calm down...if it turns out thats not the reason maybe hes ashamed of something, but im not too positive.hes acting very weird for someone who "will do anything for u"

you have to tell him while you talk to him "look me in the eyes if you told me you would do anything for me than thats a start"

he's just shy. my boyfriend used to be exactly the same. i sat down and had a talk with him. i told him that he needed to relax and that he didn't need to be nervous around me. after that he got relaxed and now he's not as shy. so just tell him that he doesn't need to be nervous around you, he will eventually start to get relaxed.

sounds to me if he willnt look u in the eyes he is hiding something maybe he is nervous around u because he has done something wrong and afraid you know
