Or you may have hit the jackpot ant the guy's parents died horrible lingering deaths, and you can move right in and feed on his greif or make him feel worse about his family. lol
But if what the guy has, just ask. Thats what it comes down to a good part of the time. Besides guys that ive alone have better things to spen money on besides wall hangings, pictures, ornamental do nothing clutter or anything we might like, because its all gone when the woman shows up. And the nic-nac money can go to beer, software, and stuff that has a purpuse beyond dust catching.
If you have to know about his living situation just ask, then judge.
He might have a quarter million dollar house and no decorating sense. Just ask. Its simple and to the point. For example: I left the gulf coast to help my dad after his Parkinson's got to where he wasn''t able to fend for himself, instead of farming him out to a bunch of strangers. And if that ever presents a problem to someone, tough. I don't turn my nose up at someone with a litter of kids underfoot. :) Ive come across women who leave their situation because they have kids. Does that make them bad people too?

Expensive hobbies are one giveaway. Working at what might be considered an unusually non-advanced position for their age and education is another (assuming there is no layoff or other extenuating circumstance.) In other words, a guy who has two Corvettes and works in a video store most certainly lives with Mom.

Some older batchelors have no idea about household decor. Find out by calling them, if Mom answers, tell her you will be over for spaghetti. Then, when you find out Mom is a whole lot younger than the man, you got a ton of trouble.

1) If he never invites you over after sometime of dating
2) If you do not have his home phone number, but he has a house phone
