It's a process over time, it's not going to happen overnight. But there are steps to take. First pray and ask the Father into your heart (mind) and life. Ask for change of you. Ask for guidance and direction. Ask for forgiveness of your sins. Do all this in Jesus name (authority).
Come to the reality that as long as you dwell in the flesh body you are going to fall short. All are sinners. Repentance is a change of mind not a license to sin. Perfection is maturity or full age in His Word. We are to produce fruit and glorify Christ.
His Word is an life learning process. Trust this man or no man unless you check it out in His Word. I've been at it earnestly for 16 years. I'm producing fruit but feel I'm still in the process. Don’t clean house (clean up your act) without filling that void with the Word of God.
Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
By the way, born again means born from above, check it out.

Religion: None
Status|: Very sure about this issue.
Opinion: To be saved is to free your mind from the ignorance of religious claptrap and to use your brain as a free thinking person and not repeat what has been drummed into your head since you were born. Do you not realise that if you were born in Afghanistan you might this very minute be a Taliban convinced that you are right and everyone else is wrong. How can you put the accident of your birth down as the reason Christianity is right when you have not objectively studied the possibility of other religions, or heaven forbid, atheism.

I'm a Christian raised in a Methodist Church all my life.
The only way you can have eternal life is if you are sinless...
which would be entirely impossible without any other force unless by some crazay way you were born from a virgin mother (like Jesus)
but when you accept Jesus as your savior He covers up your sins therefore you can have eternal life in heaven.

God is our Heavenly Father...we are His children. He loves us ALL. He wants us ALL to come back to him. He has prepared a way...it is very simple. His plan has always been very plain and simple. It is man that has messed it up and made it confusing.
Everyone will be awarded eternal life...the question is...what kind of life are you going to have for eternity? That is up to you. God is not going to drag you to heaven kicking and screaming. lol Everyone will get the chance to accept...or reject...Jesus Christ. If not in this life, then after you die. He loves us all. He never takes away our agency.

Everyone has eternal life. The question is where.
Baptist.
His Word states, in Acts chapter 4
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
How?
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1:9
Paul told the Philippian jailer "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved"
Acts 16:31
My question would be if one does not freely accept the gift of Christ why would they want to spend an eternity with Him?

There is no way you can be a non believer and still inherit eternal life.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life throught Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8-9 But God commendethe His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him.
Romans 10:9,10,13 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the LOrd shall be saved.

I'm Lutheran...
No one can tell you for sure what's going to happen to non Christians, but the Bible says they will suffer in Hell for eternity!
Saved means that you confess your sins and believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. If you do this, God will make a place for you to spend eternity in Heaven.
Confess just means that you confess to God that you are a sinner. Because Adam and Even ate the apple in the Garden of Eden, we are all guilty of the original sin, so no matter how good you think you are, you're a sinner.
Please try to ignore the Catholics, Baptists and others who have added to the Bible for their own purposes. You don't need to confess your wrong doings to a priest so he can get his jollies and you can pray directly to God, not the Virgin Mary. As a matter of fact, the Bible forbids Christians from praying to anyone but God.
Hope this helps. God Bless!

if you read the Book of Mormon you will find that salvation is a "free gift".
If you read the book of acts ch.10 i think, you will find that jesus has made all things CLEAN.
For the most part Jesus died because he preached repentance faith and baptism. and the religious leaders of the day accused him of sedition and blasphemy. but it his death that atones for all our sins.
If you desire to be saved From "hell" All you have to do is Ask the saviour and it is already done! but after that He requests that all of us repent of our sins so that we can be spotless in the day of judgment.
Well, some people might say you have to ASK God in the name of the messiah to be saved and some others say you have Endure to the end too.
But exaltation is something else altogether, as it is written in the book of revelation, those who overcome all things shall be given all things. and the requirement of this promise involves works and testimonies and teaching ohters.

Thank you for a sincere question! Perhaps the easy answer is to go to my 360 and read what I have written a paper about Who Am I -or- Whose Am I.
Thanks, RR

One must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and accept his death as payment for their wrongdoings/sins. They must believe he rose from the grave and is now alive in heaven preparing a place for those who have accepted this free gift. That's it...so simple!
