I am sooooo sorry! I was so stressed over the turkey situation that I forgot to ask the question. Also I put the turkey in the fridge to finish because I didn't know what else to do at that moment and I had another meat that was already done so I just finished up with the other dishes and just stuck the turkey back in the oven when I was finished. The question was. " Will the bird still be eatable?!"

Crank your oven up to 425 degrees and plan on having a late turkey dinner. Just make sure that you finish cooking the turkey or it will go bad.

Was it still warm to the touch? Did you turn the oven back on and finish cooking it? You have not given us enough information.

Doh!
I've done that, you should be at least 350 anyhow, only 2 hours 50 minutes till you can eat now!
We had ours 6 hours ago, it's midnight here.

Fire up the oven again and stick the thermometer in there. Wait for it to reach proper poultry temperature. (I think that's 170 Degrees....but not sure).

Just turn it back on, ho harm done as long as you cook it thoroughly now, you will have a nice safe dinner!
