She is walking around a lot and panting heavy. She keeps trying to get under furniture, and burying into the carpet.

It sounds like she is close. If you don't have a Whelping box ready yet, please get one ready. If you can't get one, use a wire dog crate with baby bumper pads around it. Cover the crate with a blanket to make it dark for her.

Take her temperature and wait for it to drop to the 98 - 99 degree range. Keep a close eye on her. Depending on how many puppies she is caring, she may need help. You may be the one that needs to help her.

It sounds like she's very close to whelping. Labor begins with panting and pacing, and "nest building" behaviors (burying into the carpet). Her hard labor will be preceeded by a gush of semi-clear fluid. She'll hunch up and lift her tail with the hard contractions. Before being born, the pups will appear as a buldge between her anus and vagina. If she's trying to ger under furniture, it means she's not comfortable whelping out in the open. Try putting her in a whelping box (or even temprarily in a dimly-lit bathroom in the bath tub filled with towels and newspapers). After everyone is born, you can remove them from the tub to a more comfortable area. Make sure everyone stays warm. Cold can kill newborn puppies faster than anything.

Do you have a whelping box for her?? She needs one asap.
They will get restless and uncomfortable. You can tell in their eyes how bad they feel. You should have been taking her temp a couple times every day, has it dropped?

It sounds like you aren't ready for the litter. Please try to get everything in order, fast.
Once the contractions start the pups are on the way.
