If everyone were Christian, it would definitely change the world. But even then, I have to wonder if the denominational differences that might now be considered minor would become major concerns. People always seem to try to divide themselves into groups, which creates conflict.

Because I believe in Islam, I believe that it would be better for each individual in there afterlife to be the same religion as me. But....... as a whole on this earth.... i believe that there would still be fighting, disagreements, and it would be the same as it is now if we were all the same religion. when I was a christian, we were always arguing with the other religions, like catholics, Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, etc... and they were all christians like me..So i believe that the world would be no different.

Only if they lived what they believed in true Bible Christianity. The only place it will truly happen is not this world but the one to come. Of course all those who oppose Christ will get to spend eternity together also but not with the comforts this world affords. It will never happen that the world will follow one religion except that false one of the anti-Christ leader in the end times who will also control the world banking systems.
"4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and BLASPHEMIES; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6 And he opened his mouth in BLASPHEMY AGAINST GOD, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and POWER WAS GIVEN HIM OVER ALL KINDREDS, AND TONGUES, AND NATIONS.
8 AND ALL THAT DWELL UPON THE EARTH SHALL WORSHIP HIM, WHOSE NAMES NAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE OF THE LAMB SLAIN FROM FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.
9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints...
13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those MIRACLES which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should MAKE AN IMAGE TO THE BEAST, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15 AND HE HAD POWER TO GIVE LIFE UNTO THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST, THAT THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOULD BOTH SPEAK, AND CAUSE THAT AS MANY AS WOULD NOT WORSHIP THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST SHOULD BE KILLED.
16 And he causeth ALL, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to RECEIVE A MARK IN THEIR RIGHT HAND, OR IN THEIR FOREHEADS:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelations 13

I think so.
I believe the world would be better if more people tried being decent and good. I believe that my faith (Christianity) provides a pathway to goodness. So I guess my answer is yes--though most of all I want people to be good.

Not necessarily. I'm not so naive or self-righteous to think that if everyone believed like I do, that the world would AUTOMATICALLY be a better place. Plurality of religion is not the problem, intolerance of others is.

That is Gods plan, capitalized is mine for emphasis, "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: TILL WE ALL COME IN THE UNITY OF THE FAITH, AND OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE SON OF GOD, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-3)

It wouldn't do a lick of good, just look at the puritans and their Salem witch trials. People need controversy regardless of religion or belief and they will find it in any way they can.

I know you. LOL.
I don't think so and this is my reasoning. If we all had and shared the same in a religious matter, that would mean we're zombies, slaves to everyone and everything around us- but then again, society does that already- with fashion, food, etc. Tricky question that is open to debate, so who next has the floor to discuss. ?

Freedom of Choice
[33:72] We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.
[33:73] For GOD will inevitably punish the hypocrite men and the hypocrite women, and the idol worshipping men and the idol worshipping women. GOD redeems the believing men and the believing women. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.
Do Not Follow Your Parents' Religion Blindly
[5:104] When they are told, "Come to what GOD has revealed, and to the messenger," they say, "What we found our parents doing is sufficient for us." What if their parents knew nothing, and were not guided?
[5:105] O you who believe, you should worry only about your own necks. If the others go astray, they cannot hurt you, as long as you are guided. To GOD is your ultimate destiny, all of you, then He will inform you of everything you had done.

No Compulsion in Religion
[2:256] There shall be no compulsion in religion: the right way is now distinct from the wrong way. Anyone who denounces the devil and believes in GOD has grasped the strongest bond; one that never breaks. GOD is Hearer, Omniscient
[2:257] GOD is Lord of those who believe; He leads them out of darkness into the light. As for those who disbelieve, their lords are their idols; they lead them out of the light into darkness - these will be the dwellers of Hell; they abide in it forever.
