Does anyone know how to speed up the hard drive speed in windows XP pro or just speed windows up itself?

go to the start button, all programs, accessories, systems tools, disk cleanup..let it run and then start the disk defragmenter. this should help......if it doesn't, run your spysweeper in safe mode three time in a row....this last step will take time.

you could also put in more memory.

Hard Drive speed is the speed at which Hard Drive rotates. you cannot change it. If you want your system to work faster, switch for minimal graphical settings.

Try a "registry cleaner" software.
