Please ignore the anecdotal answers (people saying their own 1 experience with a story) that you get here. Lots of peopel THINK they do just as well with 4 hours of sleep, but study after objective study proves they're less functional the next day, and less healthy in the long run, since a kind of sleep (that only happens once every 2 hours and needs to happen 4 times per night) is when your body fights infection. Eight, or better, NINE hours makes you healthy. Getting less won't hurt you once in a while, just not regularly. What do you do that leaves you with only 1 hour sleep time?

It't not exactly healthy. If you're a teen/kid then 8-10 hours of sleep is healthy. If you're an adult then 7-9 is good enough. Try to sleep near the same time each night so you don't disturb your natural habit. Not sleeping for multiple hours is okay once in a while.

i have gotten 2-3 hours of sleep (even perchance a lot less or none in any respect) dissimilar circumstances. i'm very much surprised that i do not basically drop useless. I in many circumstances yawn plenty and get sleepy for the period of type. I also from time to time almost fall asleep in college (yet i'm waiting to wake myself up). So yeah, I evaluate that as functioning fantastic. besides the indisputable fact that that's unusual because on the weekends I sleep at 5:00 a.m. and awaken at 10 or 11 o'clock am. Lol. i imagine i'm somewhat bit an insomniac 0.0

I think an REM cycle is 3 hours and a person should have at least two per sleeping session.
Sleeping is important for good health, too. I'd say a minimum of 7 hours for most adults, children more.
You didn't offer a reason for your short sleep time, so we can't offer advice as to how to get more.

Definitely not. Adults need at the absolute minimum 6 hours of sleep each night. 8 hours is a good night's sleep.

You can look at it this way. "No way on record has ever died of lack of sleep". My Doctor told me that if you sleep over five hours you are wasting time. You and i am in the same boat. I sleep about fours hours but in two stages. I cannot ever remember when I have slept eight hours straight. Never...
