i have a bow myself. love the sport by the way. there are usually 3 dots in your sight. you can adjust these three to your admired distances. for example-the bottom pin or dot would usually be the farthest distance(say 30 yards), the middle pin or dot is usually a distance between the longest and least distant shot. and the top dot or pin is ususally the least distanced shot(say 10 yards).

good luck i hope this is what you wanted

The top dot is for the closest distance. The next one down will be set farther away and so on. Remember when you sight the bow in and have to adjust the sight, follow the shot with the pin. For example if your shot hits left of where you are aiming on the target move the pin left. This will make the shot hit farther right. If you are shooting high move the pin up, etc. Start close, about 10 yards to get the sight dialed in. Have fun and be safe.

Billy TK i like the way you think. but anyways the other pins are for shorter distances, the higher the pin the lower the arrow will shoot. I myself only shoot with one pin, i set it for 20 yards and judge distances from there, so that i don't do like alot of these stories that you hear, use the wrong pin for the yardage. to set these sights move the pin toward the arrow that you shot. ex: if you shot low, take the pin that you aimed with and move it lower, if you shot right move the pin right and vice versa until the problem is fixed. by doing this it makes you move the bow in the opposite direction as you moved the pin and being able to place the arrow where you want. PS shoot a couple before moving every time to make sure it just wasn't a bad shot. good luck

Been shooting + hunting with a bow sense the 70"s. I just took the D*** thing off and learned how to really shoot without all them fancy do-da's.
