I got a Magic Bullet for Christmas and want to make some smoothies. Anyone have some good healthy recipes for the Magic Bullet? Merry Christmas.

Yes! Healthy recipies my specialty. The following can be varied in many more ways that I've listed, and it is very healthy, low fat, low sugar, delicious and guilt free!

Frozen fruit, any kind, my favorites are strawberry and banana
for 1 smoothie about one to one & a half cups.
About a half cup plain yogurt
Unfiltered applejuice (any juice works, I prefer apple) to about 2/3 of the way to cover the fruit

Optional: cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, clove - just a smidgen, whatever compliments the fruit and juice mix you've used.

Blend til smooth.

The ratio of juice to fruit is what makes the texture. I like smoothies so thick you almost have to spoon them, so play with the quantity of juice til you figure out your preferred texture.

If you used tart fruit and want a bit more sweet real maple syrup, honey or malt syrup are excellent and have nutrients.

You can also add protien powder, brewers yeast or wheat germ if you like.

One of the weird but wonderful smoothies I make is banana avacado. I know it sounds weird but...one day I only had 1/2 a banana in the house and found 1/2 an avacado. I added a little ice to this one and a touch of maple syrup and cinnamon. It was awsome, creamy and mellow. I love that one as lunch on really hot summer afternoons.

I love chocolatey malt milkshakes.
How about
- choco & banana
- Mixed berries
- Mango and passionfruit
- coconut & cream

Blend them with plain yogurt instead of ice cream for a healthier smoothie
