According to the third chapter of Genesis, following the fall of Adam, one of the punishments that God placed on the Serpent (who was satan) was a change in his physical appearance so that he had to crawl on his belly and "eat dust". That does not sound like he was very "beautiful" to me.

As to the pictures... they are probably made by the same artist who paint Jesus as an anglo-saxon, or God as an old man with a while beard. Or Noah's ark as if it was boat shaped. Or with only three wise men at the manger. Trust the scriptures over the paintings.

Lucifer was taught to the world in a very deceptive and misleading way. Real Angels and Archangels are created with Righteousness and Justice. No Emotions have been given to them. Therefore they do not know how to feel envy, hatred or any kind of expressions that human can express and they do not have ambitions. They do what God would always want them to do oftentimes theys send messages as if they are God themselves because they talk like a tape recorder to make clear that they are God's words.
Chosen people (human beings) in the Bible are oftentimes also called Son, Children, Archangel or Angel by God if they have been called for a mission on earth; these are the ones that have emotions and may or may not be able to do God's biddings. Lucifer is not one of the real angels. He was a human being. Go to Isaiah 14:12-17 and use King James Version or the Latin Vulgate because those are the only Bibles at present using that name. In most other Christian Bibles, he is called "Morning Star, Son of the Dawn(sometimes, Son of the Morning)". If you will only have time to read Isaiah 14 from the start to the the end you will know that Lucifer was a dead man who was cast out of his tomb. The meaning of Lucifer is Morning Star. And the meaning of Son of the Dawn is child of a young mother.
Then you now go to Revelation 16:22 and find who claims to be the Morning Star. The Lucifer thing that you know at present is part of the biggest deception ever told from the beginning of Christian religions.

Lucifer, Prince of Light (thats what it means) is not someone or something that anyone really knows much about.
It's all guess work- personal opinion. As far as I know no-one has ever seen him.

There are descriptions of other angels in the bible and He was supposed to be the brightest and most beautiful.

Did he sin? When? he was cast out of heaven for challenging God. Some people say He argued with God about mankind, saying that we would never love God the way the angels do and that God had made a mistake in creating us.
They say he spends his time trying to prove that he was right.
I have to say, it looks like he is winning. Very few people seem to love God in this world and if they do it is hardly ever with the total committment that the angels have.

I think it is people who sin and are evil (if evil exists) Lucifer- Prince of Light- the devil just tempts us, whispers in out ears and draws us away from God.

As for what he looks like, who knows? Maybe he can choose to look any way he pleases, if he appears to anyone at all. We portray him as ugly because we think bad things should look bad but often they do not. Murderers and rapists often look just like anyone else.

Ever wonder why we are taught that beauty on the outside does not determine the value of the inside. The Word says if we are of the world the world will love us. We are naturally drawn towards the "beautiful" people, maybe not the best thing for us. I think we portray Lucifer in that light because of the pain and grief he causes not because of how he actually looks. That is just my opinion though.

The inner beauty, which I call virtue, could have turned ugly, but I don't think this would have any affect on the appearance. In my opinion, the appearance of an angel is God given and permanent. The inner beauty, although, it makes up a whole with the outer beauty, is a virtue which only lasts as long as it is kept alive and preserved as such. Otherwise, it would just fade and die away. Of course, there is always a chance to repent, revive and live on as a whole beauty, in the inside, as well the outside.

I think it's a common misconception that we think Satan is ugly. I think it is his actions that make him ugly but not his appearance. He is referred to as the beast, but it would seem that this is symbolic language being used.
Isaiah 14:15-17 says But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth and made the kingdoms tremble, the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew it's cities and would no let his captives go home?"
My understanding of this verse is that we will all one day look upon Satan and stare in wonder because he will look so fare and innocent, so un evil as it were. We will say "Is this really the one who deceived the world, the one who was called the liar and murder by our Lord? How can this be?"
There are allot of lies about our enemy, the biggest of those is that he doesn't exist. The other one is that he is easy to find, he is the one in the red pajamas sticking you in the butt with the pitch fork after all. How hard could he be to identify? LOL

We cannot see Satan for he is a spirit. He lost his glory after he and his followers were cast out of heaven. He still has superior power and intellect. One of the best things he has done. Is that he has convinced more than half of the world, that he does not exist.
The word Satan means "tempter", "resister" and "accuser of the brethren." He is as Jesus said: " He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father fo it." John 8:44.
He is the god of this earth! His reign is temporary
Read Job chapter 2. Jesus is speaking here. "And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightining fall from heaven." Luke 10:18.
The Apostle Peter had this to say. "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1 Peter 5:8.

The idea of Satan looking like a horrible monster, with horns. hooved feet and a pointed tail, with red skin. Came about in the times of Shakespear, when actors dressed up in lavish costumes. So to distinguish the actor that played this part. He dressed up in this fashion.

Beware, however for Scripture says: " ...for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." 2 Corinthians 11:14.

He was on this earth while it was being formed. He knows everything about it, and everything about you and me. The temptation always comes into us at our weakest point. Satan can enter us any way he wants, but can only be expelled by the mouth.

He is a defeated foe, but he can cause much damage is you are not careful.

Hope this gives you more understanding of this issue.

It depends if you believe that Lucifer is a corporeal being (as in having a body). I personally dont believe that God or Lucifer are actual physical beings. If...IF...he was, I would assume his looks have not changed. Lucifer afterall is known as the father of lies, and he uses his guile to convince you to make "sinful" choices. Wouldn't you rather have someone handsome seducing you? or ugly?

Everyone makes him out too look so mean and nasty when actually he is still a very appealing man. God just kicked out of heaven he didn't kick him in the face and paint him red and put horns on him. It's just the way society portrays him. When actually hes very good looking.

I don't know what Lucifer looks like because no one has actually seen Lucifer.

If I remember correctly, it was cast out of heaven because he would not serve the people of earth. He loved God and would only serve him.
