I'm not completely sure but I don't think Paki/Indian man and Caucasian woman can produce a baby. Two different species...

Everyone should look at it the way you do. Unfortunately, there are so many people acting out of fear, have no understanding, are divisive, intolerant, and yes being horribly racist and bigoted. Our parents are not bad people, but some of the above characteristics unfortunately do apply.
This issue was challenged in the movie made some years ago, "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner". A very very fine movie. I recommend it highly as it does open the doors of communication as it was meant to do.
Lastly, when it comes to marriage a choice has to be made. Your parents or your husband. If you choose the former, you lose.

I was in an interacial relationship for 5 years and we ended up growing apart. it had nothing to do with race. But honestly, your under enough scrutiny as it is, that if one or the other does not have complete faith in what you guys have, it can never work, becuase the pressures you receive from society will always bother him. He obvisouly just is not strong enough to do what he beleives in, and thats not what is needed in that type of relationship.. Just my opinion though.. Good luck :-)

It's difficult and will continue to be as long as we have ignorant people in this world. And if he can't choose love over what his parents will say then you should not be wasting your time with a man that is never going to be with you completley b/c of what his parents say.

There are some people who are taught that they owe something to their heritage and culture. His parents are probably of the age where they remember being persecuted by white people, so if he respects his parents and culture he will not involve himself with you. You should move on, there are millions of black boys just looking for someone like you.

I can answer this one with experience!
I am Irish-creole, my husband is Asian, we have 3 children.. and married 22 years, but the hell my kids have endured, at school, "are you White? Asian?" I told my kids to tell them none of your business.. but kids can be cruel.
I have had people ask me if I adopted my children, and most people do not accept mix dating, or marriages.
and its the children who pay for it the most.
we both lost our families by mixing, my family wanted me to marry a french boy,, his family wanted him to marry an Asian.. so problems from the very beginning.
we have lasted a long time, but my kids paid for it.
I know it doesn't matter, and love has no colour, but SOCIETY does, people just will not accept it.

there's always a difference between you guys, i'm not meaning personality or looks, just the fact that you guys have different cultures and different lifestyle...for some reason i date latino guys and i'm chinese, why? i'm not sure, i guess because i lived in mexico when i was a kid, so i became a mexican girl in the inside and outside i still look asian, somehow asian guys don't attract me and from that i hardly have asian friends too

Sadly society isn't ready for such things. I myself have had a hassle over dating a black woman. Maybe some day it will be different....
