if you talking about your arms (not armpits) than wait until they grow and then wax them. buy ready to use strips (about $6-$8 at wall mart) and start waxing them. First of all you will need to wax them every four to six weeks and after time they will look thinner and normal.

Shaving doesn't change the nature of your hair. If you let it grow long it won't be so bristly.
But remember that you're at an age when for the first time hormones are really affecting your hair growth and you may well be getting much more hair growth which would have been increasing whether or not you were shaving it.
Basically, you get hair growth because your levels of testosterone are increaasing. And even if you're a girl, that means that you can look for hair growth on your legs, possibly on your chest and almost certainly on your upper lip. Some girls have almost as much hair in these areas as most guys.
As far as your face is concerned, the best way of dealing with it is with a men's-type electric razor. But don't try that on the other areas -- they're only good for very very short hair that's never allowed to get longer than stubble.

ouch.. i dont think it will ever go back to how it was before. I have black hair on my arms too and i have been epilating from the first time, i think i was about 12 too. If i were you i'd strat epilating, but it does hurt though. You will probably get used to the pain with time. Also i think it is definitely worth the pain, if you get smooth hair-free arms. If you epilate your hair grows back normal. You could also try waxing, that way you get smooth, hair-free, dead skin cells-free arms as it sort of exfoliates it too. You definitely will not get your arm hair growing back thicker or quicker that way, if anything it will slow down and it will be thinner and at some hair strands will never grow again. good luck.
hope this has helped you. vote me for best answer? hehe x

well, it has just matured.
Popular misconception that shaving causes hair to grow more, thicker, and things is nothing more than myth.
Your hair grows from follicles inside of your body, and the only way to alter those are to physically go into your body, which shaving does not do.Think about it like this, Bald men would shave their heads to make hair grow if that was reality, true or false?? True..lol
It appears that way because at 12, your hair follicles are not as mature as they are as 13.
any hair, no matter how fine is still stiffer when its been shaved because it is shorter. but if you let it grow back, it will simply be normal. This is how your hair would be anyway. I been shaving my face for years, and yet I can not grow a full beard if I try, and I'm 31. Don't want one, I hate shaving. but shaving does not alter your hair growth in any way.
That's like saying mowing grass makes it thicker. we all know it don't. Think about my bald guys question...

I agree with the lightening process, however I think that if you were to try "Nads" first you'll find that it won't come in as thick as it is now. The reason being is with nair you're doing the basic same performence as shaving. Nads pulls it out at the root so it can grow back in as it was originaly intended, plus Nads isn't painful like waxing. After that when it begins to grow back in, try some lightening and I'm sure that you'll be pleased. Good luck.

A couple people already told you the truth about shaving and hair, that is, that shaving doesn't alter your hair's growth. If it really bothers you, though, you should look into permanent hair removal. I have had the lasering done and I love the results, though it is rather expensive, I never have to shave my legs or underarms again!

The hair is not just a part of your body and it is a symbol of beauty, status and health. It is important for you to take proper care of your health in order to prevent early hair loss. Learn here https://bitly.im/aL9k8 It is not a very serious problem and with a little bit of caution you will be able to prevent further hair loss. There are certain uncontrollable factors like pregnancy conditions or certain illness or genetic factors that will result in hair loss. But, this does not mean that you cannot do something about your hair loss.

Good luck kid! I have shaving mine forever for well yuk!
Once you shave you will always have too. This is a choice but once you start I have never had mine grow back the same way, actually I do not remember what it looked like back then.
My boys think it is great they look like baboons lol! It is said you get your hair on your mothers side and my poor boys seam to be making this theory correct.....however young teen boys it seams to be cool to have mustaches etc. Two of my boys had them at your age...
