How would this affect us? Would we be more efficient?

People would be more evil and commit more crimes.Salaries would be raised by greedy doctors who are already millionares because they dont want to work over time ,and sick people would suffer ten times over because they cannot rest.

i was thinking about the same topic today! what a coincidence.
i was thinking, how about if we had jobs for people who would sleep for other people and get paid. i would never sleep.
and for your question: our technology would be extremely advanced; about 25% more than now; since thats how much of a day we sleep. we would be more efficient depending on how much rest we needed since we didnt require sleep.

Chances are we would be moving in slow motion.
Have eyes split for either day or night vision, and only perk up at breeding season.

too scary to even think about that! we would be destroying the world...omg...more time to develop nukes and weapons of mass destruction!! we're better off sleeping!!!

much better we wouldn't have to waste a room by filling it with a bed and my boyfriend wouldn't moan about me sleeping too much so more room and less moaning it's a win win situation
