well it all started out nice...good intensions....wine flowing at lunch time...then hubby got nasty...which led to a big arguement...i walked out of the house and to my mothers. There my father started to argue with my mother...upsetting everyone. After a sombre lunch....me, mother and the kids left the house and went to london to see the lights...they were nice. got home with a take away...nothing good to see on the box...decided to go on IM and answers to see if i am the only one who had the worst xmas ever! Now I am not talking to the husband!

Life goes on. My day has been dull. all the party was last night.
We are not doing much this year because of medical bills.
Just be grateful nobody died, or some other big bad thing didn't happen.((like the house catching on fire)). I remember the loved ones who are no longer here with us. I am grateful for all I still have. There are worse things than grumpy drunk men.

Make up with your husband. The holidays are stressful for most people. We expect so much out of a commercialized day that is really supposed to commemorate a spiritual event. The television commercials, the movies that sell the television commercials, they all say we should be full of warmth and cheer and the more we spend the happier we will be. We all go overboard and experience tension, a let down, and buyers remorse.
Next year, keep it simple. Decorate the house with what you have already. Focus on the important things, being with your family and other loved ones. Donate something to someone less fortunate. Downsize the commercial side of Christmas and let the true meaning enter your home and your heart. Maybe next year let the mid-day wine be communion at church.
I wish you the peace and joy that Christ came to give you.
Merry Christmas.

My boyfriend collapsed 2 weeks ago,i found him slumped on the floor in 1 of the spare bedrooms.
I phoned an ambulance and he was rushed to hospital,i thought he had a heart attack and at 45 we were told hes in the age frame for a heart attack and me only being 36 have worried ever since.
It turns out it wasnt a heart attack,he has gaulstones and needs an operation in feb(the day after valentines to be exact).
The doctor at the hospital said he cant drink alcohol, eat fatty foods, chocolate, chicken, red meat or drink fizzy drinks for the next 6 months.
SO
You can just imagine what our xmas dinner consisted of?
veg and a bit of gravy.
We were also given a really expensive bottle of wine from my brother and sister-in-law for xmas that we cant drink, chocolates from my nephews that we cant eat and valentines is out the window.
We are getting married in September and i was going to book us a week-end away in a nice hotel for some pampering and nice wine tasting as we wont get a holiday before the wedding coz we are saving up,that too is now not possible.
Our xmas day was sat here staring at each other looking for something to do coz we were so bored, usually we go visiting but as everyone was stuffing themselves with chocs and drink it wouldnt be fair on my boyfriend so we stayed in,i ended up going back to bed at 11 o'clock coz i was soooo bored.
What a xmas to remember
HUMBUG ha ha
Only good thing is,i wont pile the weight on ha ha

chia puppy-- ineffective and it basically says which you had to get a present on the drugstore particularly quickly. broken equipment-- why worry giving this? How do you think of the present receipient is gonna sense? a donation on your call. positive, this is a large gesture despite the fact that it particularly would not meet the definition of a present IMHO potpourri-- no longer possibly a "guy" present. footwear-- this is unquestionably risky. If the footwear don't extra wholesome precisely precise, you have wasted your $ eating place present certificates-- many ppl don't have 2 hours to spend in a eating place. Your present certificates will connect the 15% of present certificates that are by no skill used.

I guess you at least got to spend your christmas with your Mum and Dad even though it wasn't the greatest. I wish my Mum and Dad were still around to spend Christmas with! We don't even have family where we live so it was just immediate family with phone calls to son, brothers, sisters, in laws, aunts, uncles and cousins who all live at least 3000ks away. It may not have been a great christmas for you but I am sure there are many people around the world who had a worse one! Be thankful for all you have. Fights are nasty but they fade with time. Death is permanent.

that is sad, and i'm sorry your christmas was so disappointing. But at least you have people to spend christmas with. and you have food on your table. and a home to go to. and you're not sick or in the hospital or dying. Think of all the people who spent this christmas rummaging through the dumpsters for food and a place to keep warm.

my friend recently had to get a heart transplant and is currently spending christmas out of the state in ICU.

i know its easy to look at the things that suck in your life, but try to take perspective. Be thankful for what you DO have.

merry christmas

and heres to a MUCH happier new year =)

Yes I have had the worst ever! Let's see, my sister in law/business partner set me up in a Nigerian Money Order Scam. It didn't sink in what had happened until out Christmas shopping and my card was rejected. BAM - like a ton of bricks ---snow ball effect from there!

My Christmas was good, but my friend is a divorced mother of 3, the father has the kids, and her parents are Jehovas Witness and don't celebrate Christmas. She is totally alone.

Meanwhile you are mad at your hubby for something that is undoubtably stupid and meaningless.
