it sounds like a mouth ulcer (canker sore). They are such a pain. You can buy various products to help with the pain & healing. I take 1000g of lysine (amino acid) everyday and this keeps them away ... but you only really need to do this if you are a real sufferer of them. Try these websites for information & tips:

Oh ... and once you have gotten rid of it be sure to get a new toothbrush otherwise it may come back again.

Not responsible for your actions, but I put Blistex the kind that comes in a white tube with a red ban. The package says external use only. It's up to you. I use it on Pizza burn, paper cuts, dry skin, if it's sore put some blistex on it. Not responsible for anything you do.

THIS WORKS: TAKE A CUE TIP AND DIP IT IN VINEGAR RUB ON THE CANKER AND IT WILL START TO DISAPPEAR IN A FEW HOURS AND HEAL IN A DAY OR TWO. I didn't believe it untill I tried it on myself. Works on cold sores too. But do it early, the sooner the better.

Mouthwash with Hydrogen Peroxide. It will heal it in one or two days. I would do it 2 or 3 times a day. It kills the pain promptly.

an ulser--coul be from bacteria or from eating hot food that burned/blistered your gum...rinse your mouth with salt and water to kill or prevent any bacteria...mouthwash could be too harsh.
