If it were me, I wouldn't buy a REALLY cheap dvd player. You'll wind up disappointed in its quality and ability to play DVD's well. Not that you have to buy an expensive one, but don't buy the cheapest either. For instance, here's a good one at Best Buy, seen at the below link.

walmart is the way to go. the one i have cost 35 bucks about two years ago.
its good for bootlegs too:-) the higher end models won't play the dvds without the special coding.
so go to walmart or any large discount retailer for a good buy.
