I have a 15 year old, a 12 year old, an 11 year old, a 5 year old and a 4 year old and love every minute of it. Some people may not be able to handle this many children, but I handle it just fine. I have friends with just 1 child that call me and ask "How do you do it". I answer that I just do.

For ME it would be too many kids but I have no right to tell someone else having five children is too many. I know a family that has 10 children and my best friend came from a family with 15 siblings. It all depends on how big of a family the parents can handle. For me ONE was quite enough!

It's not so much that I couldn't handle that many children it's more like... not sure that I'd want to. Well there are 6 kids in my family it didn't seem as though my mom had a hard time with us all untill... we got older. That is what we need to worry about. Now if the parents can afford 5 kids than good for them they're doing great, and if they have the patients for 5 than even better let them have as many as they can handle.

Tia, these people obviously are intelligent people if one is a doctor and the other a lawyer. It sounds like financially they can handle that many. Are they good parents? Do they spend time with their children and teach them good manners and life skills? For some people, 5 kids is too many. But it doesn't sound like it's too many for these people. I'm curious why you would ask such a question. Can you answer please?

We have a family @ church that has 12 children from 19 years old down to about 2 years. I've never met more beautiful, respectful, loving, and intelligent children in my life. Clearly, these two people were just BORN to raise a big family! Not everyone is cut out for that though, so I guess it's a question each set of parents need to ask themselves.

Obviously it's not for them or they would have stopped at 3 or 4.
Being in a large family will encourage the older children to help out from a very early age, and so ease the stresses on mum and dad.

They are strong enough to handle a big family, fair play to them.

It depends on the family. Think about how many kids people had before birth control was invented, even after many died in child birth. If they're financially able to handle that many children I see nothing wrong with it.

If they are happy with the number of children they have, then they don't have too many kids. I also would like a large family and as long as I can support them emotionally, financially, and so on then who's to say I can't have as many as I want?

It's their business how many children they have. As long as the kids are well taken care of and loved, there's nothing to worry about.

I have 4 kids, so 5 is no big deal.

I think it's great, people today don't have enough kids, that's why we have to import doctors and dentists from India. It just takes a lot of organization and positive parenting that creates good kids, because there's no way you could handle it if they were all out of control.
