I went to Ireland in the summer, and I failed to spot one fruit machine, in any pubs or even in a bookies!
Are they not allowed over there, or was it just a coincidence I didn't see any?

not in public, only indoors

There are loads of them in Tramore Co.Waterford and in Dublin indoors. The govt implied recently that a crackdown was imminent but the pro-gambling lobby seems to have seen that off.

Southern Ireland doesn't allow gambling for profit.

Why do people think you can't gamble in southern Ireland there are lots of casinos.

Eire (Southern Ireland) is a religious dictatorship. You cannot gamble or have an abortion there.
