NO. Take it from me. I work in the industry of making people look good. It's my job to photograph people then retouch their pictures to perfection. Not only does it take a team of specialists to make them look great with clothes, makeup, lighting and hours & HOURS of photo after photo, I then select ONE only great photo out of a possible hundred and then spend hours removing blemishes from their skin, enhancing their eyes, lips & features and I even slim them down and reshape their body parts. One photo shoot I ended up giving the girl a new nose, slimmer legs a flatter tummy, got rid of pimples and blemishes etc, lengthened her hair as well as the usual sharpening the eyes and lips etc. Sometimes we make people look worse but no matter what, do NOT believe anything you see in a magazine. I even make products and places look better. EVERY photo that I work on I make look as best as I possibly can. I brighten blue water, even extending parkland in aerial shots of housing estates. I LIE for a living.
THEN the models come in to see their pictures and they are so effin stupid they don't know the amount of work we've done on them and they say "Gee don't I look fabulous!" LMAO.. they don't even know that they have a new nose because they love themselves so much. Because of this, we spend a lot of time picking out every flaw to make ourselves feel better. We zoom in on their blackheads and nasal hairs at 500% and print them out. lol.

Even the people on the magazine covers don't really look like that! It's called the miracle of airbrushing. Just to give you an example, several years ago, I met Fergie (the Duchess of York, not the rapper) and when I saw her up close, I noticed that she had a major case of crow's feet and lines. However, when you see her on the magazine covers, her skin looks perfect. Don't make yourself feel bad by trying to measure up to something that isn't real. Just make yourself look your very best and work on your self-esteem. GOOD LUCK!!!

NO WAY!!! Women and men on magazine covers are so heavily made-up so as to appear flawless. Plus, they tend to actually fine the women in the U.S. for being too heavy or the guys for not being in better shape!!! Stop looking at magazine covers and live a little!!

A woman doesn't have to look like a movie star to be hot. Alot of it has to do with the bod--I would never date a fat chick. I'll cut a girl some slack on the face, but the body better be decent.
