The Book of Mormon as other religions claim authentication because they were given a gospel other than the Scriptures fouind in the Bible as proof. Yet the Bible is explicit where this is concerned.

GAL 1:6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel-- 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!

The original plates that contained the text of the Book of Mormon were written by Prophets that lived in the America's. These Prophets were literate and passed on their knowledge from one generation to the next in writing that they personally scribed...

Joseph Smith was given the gift of Prophesy and ability to translate from the original texts (which were written in a mixed language between something like Hieroglyphics and Hebrew)...

As such, it is a document translated by a Prophet from the writings of other Prophets and not done by scholars who believe they know what it means...

For this reason, and because I have prayed about it many times, I believe that it is an authentic Scriptural Document.

2Chron-36:16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
Matt 10:41 He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.
So even through history ALL of Gods Prophets have been mocked , harassed and dis-believed.

Yes the Book of Mormon is a TRUE book of Gods word. The above also shows why so many are against it. I have read it and prayed about it. I also KNOW that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called by God for this dispensation. I CHALLENGE ANYBODY TO READ IT AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELVES.

Yes!!! even more so than the bible because the bible has been changed and has things missing from it. The Book of Mormon is in its purest form. Straight from translation to paper.

Its true. I love the Book of Mormon. It will get you closer to God than any other Book on earth.

It IS true-- Joseph Smith and many others gave their lives for the church becuase they knew it was true.

"The Book of Mormon (originally, The Book of Mormon: An Account Written by the Hand of Mormon upon Plates Taken from the Plates of Nephi) is one of the sacred texts of the Latter Day Saint movement, named after the prophet/historian Mormon, who according to the text compiled most of the book. It was published by the founder of the movement, Joseph Smith, Jr., in March 1830 in Palmyra, New York. The stated purpose of the Book of Mormon, as stated on its title page, "is to show the remnant of the House of Israel what great things the Lord has done for their fathers" and to convince "Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, the Eternal God, manifesting himself to all nations."

Joseph Smith, Jr. said the book was a translation of Golden Plates he found in a hill near his home, guarded by an angel. Smith had no knowledge of ancient languages, but he said he received the translation from God through the act of looking into seer stones, or a set of crystal spectacles he said were with the plates, which were called the Urim and Thummim. During the translation, Smith obtained the affidavits of Three Witnesses and Eight Witnesses who testified they saw the plates. These affidavits are published as part of the Book of Mormon. When Smith's translation was complete, he returned the plates to the angel Moroni[1].

Along with the Bible, which is also held by Latter Day Saints to be the Word of God, the Book of Mormon is esteemed as part of the canon by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Community of Christ and other churches that claim Joseph Smith as their founder, accept the Bible "as far as it is translated correctly" (Articles of Faith), as well as the Book of Mormon, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Doctrine and Covenants as canonical scripture. In 1982, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints added the subtitle Another Testament of Jesus Christ to its editions of the book to help clarify and emphasize its purpose. The belief in the truth of this book stands as a dividing doctrine of the denominations in the Latter Day Saint movement from traditional Christian faiths."

I don't think it is.

I lived in Utah for a while.. and they would come to our doorstep saying OK we have the new book of Mormon... so yea i don't think it's an authentic document.

If such a document did exist you would think that you would have heard about it before Joseph Smith.

Even from other historians who just mentioned it not even the document itself.

I have yet to see any of this.
